Bridal shower????

Recommended Posts

I am pretty sure the maid of honor is supposed to be in charge of setting up the bridal shower. In my case, my sister who lives in Hawaii (I live in Jersey) is my maid of honor and probably won't make it to Jersey any time soon. So who will arrange my bridal showerhuh.gif? me?? Or should I ask someone else to host it?? I feel like that may be a bit inappropriate. Also, when should a bridal shower be held?

Other members of the wedding party can host the bridal shower instead of your sister. Also, the shower is supposed to be a month before the wedding date. I see you are getting married in 2010, have plenty of time.

You can have a shower even though you are doing a DW. If you are inviting friends and family, have a shower. I am debating on not having one only because my wedding will be my best friends and our family. But again, if there aren't limitations on your invite list, have a shower.

hope this helps

I didn't really want a shower because I felt coming to the wedding was enough for my guest.

I was told that I was having a shower whether I liked it or not. I didn't really want my BM's to plan/pay for one b/c they are all in similar spots to me (less than 5 years into their careers, just bought houses, etc.) So my mom has asked my aunts to host something. Only 1 of my aunts is able to make the DW and the others really wanted to do something.

I am having a shower even though I told my BM's that I don't need/want one... They are insisting. =)

In your case, is your sister the only one in your BP? If not.. maybe ask your sister to talk to the other BM's or your family and she can help them coordinate from afar.

I see you are in JC, you can always join in on mine. I used to live in downtown JC (loved it!) and one of my BM's lives there still and the other is in Hoboken!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
