I didn't have any problems with customs & I had plenty of wedding related/OOT items. I even gave family members some of my luggage & they arrived a few days after I did & they didn't have any issues either. When I arrived at customs & they asked me my plans while in JA, I told them that I was getting married! No problems.

Tiramasue....a simple gift like that is what i would like as well...i asked the new WC at the resort cuz Chandlyn is no longer there, if they could arrange small bottles of rum, and they said it was possible...i like the little package deal you guys did.  I just dont want them to charge me an arm and leg just for a bottle of rum...what wedding package did you guys get, that allowed ut o get a free gift of weding favours??

i liked that mug idea, hope i can get my hands on something like that....any advice on what to ask the WC for if iw ant to put togehter somet like that?

However since I had tshirts and the boys had hats.. I made a little checklist to please bring these items with you. As for local goodies things I did pick up down in Jamaica like it was metioned above I used floral fantasies too they were perfect.

Im going to look into Flora Fantasies, beacuse whatever the easiest route is to get favours, or welcome items it the way for me.  However we are staying in RIU Ocho Rios, and i read the Floral Fantasies is from negril...will they deliver to Ocho??

I think I will do this also.  I'm still going to get candles for the rooms and the bags here and then pick up  other things locally in Jamaica I think that would be more appreciated.

You can buy most of your OOT bag contents at the local supermarket for much less than what's sold in the hotel, souvenier shops, or airport. Not sure what resort you'll be at, but the supermarket in the Blue Diamond plaza (east of the airport, across from the new RIU and the Burger King) has small burlap bags of blue mountain coffee, mini liquor bottles, small rum cakes, and lots of snack foods and candies that are traditional Jamaican brand items that will make your OOT bags more authentic and unique than the ones just just contain your typical stuff like mosquito repellant, sunscreen, etc. Blue Diamond is easily spotted off the main road and is very clean and organized. Plus you won't have to worry about haggling with vendors, and is a one stop shop for everything you could want. In the same plaza is a pharmacy that has a few other souvenier type items as well....again, a local store so very cheap. Good luck!

Wow thank you soooo much for this info this is very helpful!! I am still debating about making oot bags but if the price is right I just might squeeze it into our budget after all!

I found a website called reggaetreats.com that will ship or deliver to your hotel. My planner has used them before. Probably a little more expensive than the supermarket but if you're not going to have time to get to one, might be a good option.
