Pottery Barn Furniture

Hello Ladies...and few Gentlemen!

My wife and I have been looking around for new bed furniture sets and we're both pretty much sold on the Pottery Barn's Hudson Collection (see below). My question to all of you is...do any of you have any complaints about this collection or any other Pottery Barn furniture pieces? And is $1,799.00 (excluding mattress & bedding) too much to be spending for a king?

I personally think that is too much for just a bed. We have 2 dogs and one is a puppy that chews so I can't justify spending that much money on soemthing that could get damaged, KWIM?

Pottery Barn is very good quality though I do think you can find the same with other sellers. As long as you buy 100% real wood furniture, you should be fine.

Value City and Nebraska Furniture Mart come to mind. You might also try an Amish furniture dealer. I always check Craig's List. The dining table set I want from PB is about $3500. I found it on CL for $1200.

Oh I absolutely love PB! Everytime that stupid catalog comes in the mail I hope and pray that I win the friggin' lottery so that I can buy one of everything! That being said, I think their prices are outrageous!!!

You can definatley shop around and find better prices for something with the same lines. Try looking at your local chain furniture stores or some of the large department stores. They always have great sales.

Good luck and keep us posted if you find any great deals

That's just the thing, we've been shopping around locally and we're yet to find something along those same lines, or at least something that grabs and holds out attention. There's another bed at Restoration Hardware but it's a bit too boxy, it's the Larkspur.

I love Pottery Barn and they have beautiful furniture, but honestly I don't think I would ever buy any of their furniture due to their prices. The bed that you like is a pretty simple style and I have seen other very similar styles that would be a lot less expensive. I also just discovered the Canopy line that Wal-Mart sells and they have a very similar bed to that one for $499. I haven't bought anything from them yet so I'm not sure about the quality.

Here is the link:

Walmart.com - Always Low Prices!

You can ship it to the store and pick it up so you save moeny on shipping too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
