Glad you like it Jess. I think that was one of the best costumes I've ever done. I went to a party where I didn't know anyone and I was just flashing them one by one. The looks on their faces!! Priceless.

As for my ring, I'm leaving it in the safe with Steve's. Fingers crossed nothing happens to it but the chances of it going missing from the safe would be about the same as it falling of my finger swimming in the ocean....I think anyways.

3 weeks and 6 days.

I mailed our travel booklets today and I'm making copies of all the hotel information, vendor contract and wedding consultant conversations.

I think this weekend I want to do a trial pack-minus the dress since it's going to be at the alterations shop until 2 days before we leave.

Has anyone else done a trial pack yet?

Wow I feel so behind my wedding is Nov 16th and all wedding planning has been on hold while I finished school and wrote my provincial exams. Now that all thats done I feel like I have sooooo much to get done still.

Just got my travel mugs today and they are fantastic!!! I still have to put together OOT bags and make tags for them. I still have to finish favours and look through all the wedding stuff I have been buying for the last year and a half and see what I have and what I need. Bridesmaids dresses just came in and I am on my 2nd dress fitting whooo they actually did not have to take it in or out at all it fit me like a glove they just had to hem it!!! I still can't believe in 5 weeks I will be getting married it came so fast and then moving to Australia right after the wedding for 3yrs some big changes coming!!!!!!!

OK ladies I plan to mail down my items to my wc next week. I am paying for our transport and tour this evening. I literally have 2 more items to purchase. A broom and spoons. Weird right lol. Spoons for the tasting ceremony I will check out homegoods or marshalls tomm and a Broom for Jumping the broom. I will still have to decorate that.

We leave Nov 6th. Is it too early for me to purchase snacks for OOT bags? I was going to get some of those big boxes/bags of different chips etc and granola bars. I was going to put one bag of chips and 2 granola bars per snack bags. I also have candy and gum in them already. Besides that I will complete my Avon bags on Tues when the brochures arrive (omg I went too far on those bags I am giving away so many samples and trial items it's crazy lol) and my snack bags and will be done with OOT bags.

Can I just tell you all how am I soo annoyed with my WC. She freakin forwarded me an email from our tour guide where he was talking to her ab the diff timezones etc. And she's like by the way Ashley we didn't really discuss this but the ship is on a different timezone than the island... We had actually discussed this in the past but the info she gave me was backwards so my entire timeline on the brochures that I ordered months ago is wrong. I'm not that upset with that bc we'll just tell ppl that everything is one hour off. However this means that while it's printed that everyone has to meet for breakfast and 8:45a they really have to meet at 7:45 am. I'm like that's crazy for ppl to have to be there at 7:45 bc they will be out dealing with the wedding events until 4pm at least. Thats a very long day. I know its just one day but who wants to be up that early on vacay.

I realized today I have less than fifty days left until we leave and I have at least 20 projects left to do, not finish but to start and finish. in addition to all of this I have scuba classes, photography classes, home picks to make (bought a new house and all the interior home picks have to be done in the next three weeks) and I had my first fitting, my dress is so large it fell right off me.

A year ago when I ordered my dress the shop owner liked it so much that she ordered a couple more in other sizes, thank god, I went from an 18 to a 14 and it will require additional alterations to make it smaller.

This weekend is a long weekend in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving. I promised myself I would finish at least half of my projects fingers crossed.

Wish me luck

Dea

Ashley I would be very annoyed. That should of been one of the first things she talked to you about!

Dea, my project list is pretty intense and I have 3 weeks till I leave. LOL Im actually feeling okay about it though. We are driving down so if I have to I guess I can work on them on the 4 day drive down. LOL

I started working on our ceremony yesterday and fell upon the thread with all the scripts. Wow. This forum is amazing I tell you. They have helped me make such a beautiful wedding, and I cant wait to start piecing the ceremony together. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
