That is EXACTLY what will happen with us lol or she'll arrange trips. FI tried to say to her to just come for one week but she wouldn't have it lol In the end we got the TA to book her on a different flight, from a different airport, on a different day lol she'll leave a day after us but he's been warned i'm NOT spending more than the wedding with her lol

I've already had a chat with my m8s and our plan is in force so we should be ok, most people are reasonable when they aren't the parents lol smile72.gif

That is such a fun story! I'm glad your sister and fam will be able to go, but I also understand your concern of having to split your attention with all the guests when wanting to spend the time with your new hubby. I am doing a cruise wedding so I will be on my honeymoon with anyone who sails with us, so far that is 33 people so I have some of the same concerns. However, most of the people I have talked with voluntarily say that they are doing their own thing during the day and are excited to have their own vaca like you suggested. We will have dinner at night with everyone each night so I think that will be a great time to socialize, you could organize a similiar thing so that there is one part of the day or night that you share with your friends and fam and the rest can be yours! And an activity together would be nice if you want to do that but giving them hints on things to do on their own is also a great idea!

It is a valid concern - I would plan a few things together that wouldn't include your guests, like off site excursions, trips to the spa, etc. Matt and I have invited our guests for a Thursday - Sunday. They are welcome to stay longer if they want, but we aren't necessarily advertising it. We will be at the MP from Tuesday to Sunday, and Sunday we are leaving to go to a different resort.

Maybe you could just invited your guests for a certain period of time? It might be a possibility to work out a group rate for only certain nights with the resort, thus limiting the number of guests who will stay for longer. Just a thought!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
