LOL, thanks for all the babysitting offers!! I try to get most of my planning during nap time now a days!

The biggest problem I am having is picking a destination. I was really leaning towards Jamaica, but now seeing so many Mexico brides Im wondering if this is a better option. How did everyone pick their destination, because I am totally stuck!!

Welcome, there are many wonderful locations to get married. This forum started off as a cabo forum and grew from there, that's prob the reason why you see so many Cabo brides. Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be glad to help where we can.

I feel your pain! Picking a resort is hard work! We've been researching for a few months now...I was 99% decided on the Dominican Republic, then I found this forum and all these Mexico brides are tempting me to change our location! But I think we're going to confirm a resort soon... I hope anyway! Good luck! If you're interested in the DR I've done tons of research.

Welcome! You are right, finding the destination and choosing a resort will be the hardest part. After that I think it gets more fun!

I've been to Jamaica and it's a wonderful place, but if you want to hear more ideas just let us know!

I was looking at the Riu Ocho Rios as well. It looks beautiful! We also were looking at The Grand Bahia Principe. Ive emailed both for info on weddings but have yet to recieve any! If you have any info would you mind sending some my way? [email protected]

I would also love to recieve some info on the DR. I do not know too much about it, so any info would be great.
Thanks ladies! This board is great because you are all so wonderfully helpful!smile159.gif

Thanks for the pictures!! It looks beautiful. My only complaint (and I know this is something that will happen at most resorts) is that its not private and that anyone can just walk up and watch. My sisters BF was married in Curacao and they had all these people walking up in bathing suits watching. I was hoping for something a bit more private. I wonder if they have a private area at the resort?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
