i need a new PC really bad and was looking at this laptop. does anyone have one? what do like / dislike about it? also, i have windows XP PRO now and hate the idea of having to get Vista but that is all they offer now - who has Vista? do you have the ultimate?

i really want a Mac but the one i want is so much more than this Dell and we get a nice corporate discount on Dell.

sorry for the ramble LOL

That's what I'm looking at buying too! cheesy.gif I can't wait to see what the girls say. Our IT person at work said they're not any different from the others...but I don't know if he's right. I think it depends on what you want its primary use to be.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 and I think it's great! I also didn't want to do with the Vista system but had no choice. It's different from XP but the same basic concepts you just have to get used to looking at things a little differently. Once you get used to it it's no big deal. The only problem I have is that once in a while the mouse sort of gets stuck but it's only for like a few seconds. They sent me a new power cord that was supposed to fix it but I still have trouble once in a while.

I didn't have the same Dell Studio 17 but I did have Vista and it wasn't too bad. I converted to Mac and you absolutely must get one. It beats PC by far. I was real hesitant about spending the money on mac but it's so worth it. You can get a refurbished one for less than $1000 that also comes with a warranty. Mac offers discounts to students or anyone with a .edu email address can get the discount. You don't even need to be a current student just have an email address that ends in .edu.

Sorry, I know it wasn't much help but I just had to take the time to advocate for Macs because they are so worth it. Good Luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
