OK I searched this forum and didn't find anything so here the foot questions come...

1) If the groom and GM are wearing suits, do they wear flip flops? Doesn't that look funny?

2) What do the guests wear? I know some people buy flip flops for their guests, but then what do they do with their other shoes to not look tacky and messy?

3) What do the bridesmaids wear if they have a kind of formal right below the knee dress? I think it might look tacky for them to wear flip flops. I would presume that some people go barefoot but the sand is kind of rocky in Cabo and I would think that would hurt.

Help!

I haven't gotten married yet either... but, we planning on having FI and the groomsmen wear brown flip flops and the girls are doing barefoot jewelry with above the knee dresses (most likely). I am going barefoot.

Most guests know the wedding is on the beach. If you want to buy them flipflops; then go for it. Maybe have an area out of camera sight for them to leave their shoes.

Honestly, the girls who have already been married can answer better - but I am assuming that my guests will be intuitive enough not to wear 4 inch heels in the sand. =)

1. My groom wore a suit and the groomsmen just wore matching pants and then a white shirt. They all wore the same brown flip flops. I actually thought it looked very nice.

2. My guests wore whatever they wanted on their feet. Some were bare feet, some wore heels, some just wore flip flops. That was more their choice.

3. My bridesmaids went barefoot. My sister didn't like it... but hey, I hated my dress at her wedding and I still wore it! Basically, if you want them barefoot, they should be able to handle it. Otherwise I did buy them all flip flop wedges. I figured that would look better than flat flip flops if the sand was too difficult to walk on.

Just because they are flip flops doesn't mean they can't be dressy. I am wearing wedge flip flops with stones on the strap. WHITE Turquoise Rhinestone Thong Shoes NEW Flip Flops 8 - (eBay.ca item 190242945712 end time 27-Oct-08 11:53:36 EDT)

You can also look on Floppy Jos...she will customize anything you want! Bridal Flip Flops and Barefoot Sandals by FloppyJos

As far as the guys go I think as long as you get a nice brown/tan dressy sandal then you're ok.

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
