OMG those pics are INSANE! (and really good ... you didn't take them yourself, did you?)

 

we're so excited for the phils and the city ... definitely going to the parade tomorrow! tom's parents live a few blocks from the stadium, and he works with a doc whose office is right on broad street. the doc offered for us to use the upstairs tomorrow and watch the whole parade from the huge windows! we managed to secure tickets to enjoy the festivities inside the linc too. we'll probably do a little of both.

 

jacqueline, you're not lying if you call out ... it's phillies fever!

 

yari i feel bad for your husband (does that still sound weird?) ... tom was stuck in roxborough last night so he watched the game from his uncle's, which meant i was watching at home in jersey, all alone. i was so bummed out i wanted to cry. instead, after the game i went and stood with thousands of idiots outside modell's for almost 2 hours in the freezing cold just to be one of the first to buy the championship merchandise. it was crazy there, with horns honking, everyone screaming, singing, chanting, etc. made me feel a little better!

 

so what was the first thing i did today? i spilled coffee all over the shirt that i stood in line 2 hours to get! ... haha i'm a dork! the stain came out tho! whew!

I am only going to be able to get to the parade on my Hour Lunch..But it's better then nothing!!
I'm so excited...we spent 2 hours tonight driving to every store in the city looking for sweat shirts, which No ONE had :-( My FI is gonna try again in the morning since everyone kept saying, "we;re expecting a big shipment tonight" so we'll see. He got lucky to have off tomorrow....I guess because he works for WB Mason and they are one of the Phillies sponsers!! LOL
I have pictures too..Although they are dark..i am gonna post them

My dad was at the game on Monday. My dad, uncle and godson are all going to the parade. Of course I just got home from work 45 mins ago, and if I was going to go, I'd have to leave in an hour to get there park and get a good spot! Then go to work tomorrow night. So I'm not going.

 

Take lots of pics for me girls! Wow I didn't realize how many Philly and Jersey girls we had here. We really need to do a get together and do lunch or something!!

Oh really? No he is a Driver:-) It is a small word!!

Girls I am sitting at my desk and already people are lined up outside...People are beeping and screaming..It's so crazy, but what a great feeling!! I will post pics from the parade tonight on this thread!!! :-)

Insane is right!! I thought i would stroll out to Market street on my Lunch, watch the parade, cheer and what not, then get back to work...Well...From 9am...The people started filling the streets of Center City....I was sitting at my desk hearing screams and people beeping and you could just feel the excitement in the air!! So about 11:45 I ventured outside...OMG...I couldn't get anywhere close to Market street....The people were like 50 rows deep!! After trying a couple times...I decided to join the rest of my office and watch the parade from our window in the conference room, which is 12 floors up :-( I did get pics....But they stink! :-( But they give you an idea of how many people were just in that one spot....The parade route was VERY long, plus people filled not only citizens bank park for the ceremoney...But they gave tix to the linc to watch it on the jumbo trons in there....there was like 2 million people in this city.
The thing is...After the Parade..>everyone was stranded in Center city because the wait o get back on public transportation, which the city urged everyone to take, was crazy!! I take the Southbound subway train home everynight at 5pm...well they were still cancelled going that way at that time! I had to walk to the Bus stop and take the bus :-( By that point...The ceremony was over when I got home and since I live so close to the stadium...My neighborhood was packed with cars and drunk people. I was about done with the festivities by that point!! LOL Or maybe I was just jealous that i had to work!! :-)
Anyway...Here are my crappy pics, but just look at the all the people right outside my work......

The parade was awesome! Septa of course was a mess. They wouldn't let us on at 15th Street afterwards, so we had to walk to 30th to get the el. And then my hubby's train was 3 hours delayed when he left work at 5:00, so I had to pick him up at the el. Whatever...it was worth it! I have some pics, but of course I haven't uploaded them yet. My 9 year old nephew came down with us and I think it was the highlight of his life. It was such a cool thing to be a part of!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
