Austin is 4 1/2 months, and he is still in his Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper attached to our bed. I'm thinking about starting to put him in his crib this weekend. I just love having him so close to me, and makes BFing in the middle of the night so easy!!

Calia~ Thanks for the info about the humidifier to balance the fan. Austin has the frog one (I'm sure it's the same- didn't look at your link). We just hadn't started using it since he's in our room, but we will now. We have April Air in our furnace, but I'm sure the humidifier will be beneficial.

Martha~ My fan's been going since I heard this info!! I told Kevin if "they" told me to line Austin's crib with Bingo Trolls to help prevent SIDS, I'd do it!!! That one REALLY cracked him up! Seriously, it (SIDS) is something you think about, and realize how lucky you are to have your beautiful baby. It was tragic when the pro football player lost his baby a few weeks ago.

I love those animal humidifiers! Aiden has the penguin one even though I really wanted the frog one. The store was always out of that when we went sad.gif

Anyway, Aiden slept in my room with me (sometimes co-sleeping, sometimes not) until he was about 4 months and then he went into his room. I definitely wanted to keep him in my room with me those first few months since he was born during the winter and even with the heat on, our house had a tendency to get rather cold.

He did sleep with the overhead ceiling fan on during the summer months.

We originally bought a regular mattress from Babies R Us, but then I found organic crib mattresses (which I had no idea were available) and we sprung for one of those.

Ditto everything you said! I love the penguin it's cute. I love the frog b/c he fits in the bathroom sink to refill! I don't have to take it all the way to the kitchen. It fits in his bathroom! I don't know about the others I haven't tried them.

His mattress is also an organic mattress. It's so soft!! Not like the regular baby mattresses that are almost like plastic. I don't know where they got theres I can ask if anyones looking.

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
