Initial site visit- what is a MUST to do when in Cabo?

Recommended Posts

Hello brides!

I just booked a trip to go to see the differerent hotels and meet with the WC's at the hotels for the end of October.

When Im there I hope to

1) Pick the venue for my july 5 2009 wedding.

2) Find the resaurant/location for my welcome dinner.

3) Meet and finalize the photographer and videograpaher.

What else, from your experience, would you recommend I get done during this site visit. I don't know if I will make it back to Cabo again before my wedding and so I want to be sure I get it all done as much as possible!

Side note-not yet sure if I'm going to get a seperate wedding coordinator, but if I do, I can always book that and talk to her after my site visit, right?

Also, still unsure of flowers..you suggest I meet with a florist during this site visit??

Thanks for your input!

why dont you let us know what hotels/restaurants/photographers & videographers you're considering and we can give you some more help...

for example if you decide on a hotel closer to san jose del cabo, i wouldnt recommend having your welcome dinner in cabo san lucas. so if you give us some specifics of where you're looking, that will help us give you some advice.

and yes, you dont have to book an outside wedding coordinator when you're down there. in fact, i would honestly say dont book an outside wedding coordinator before you pick your hotel because theres a good chance you wont even need an outside coordinator. my hotel's WC was so good that i am really happy i didnt waste extra money on an outside coordinator.

you could meet with a florist, but again, it makes a difference as to which side of the cape you're thinking of.

Meet with Deena from Sweet Dreams to do a cake tasting! Although Maura's right, depending on what hotel/venue you choose, you might not be using an outside vendor for your dessert...

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
