I finally figured out a way to combine my love of wine /champagne and the beach in my centerpieces for my crabcrack/AHR. I bought the raffia bows from Micheals and I still have to get starfish and sand dollars from oriental trading to mix in with the corks. I harrased the local wineries to give me their used corks. The hurricane vases are from Pier One when they had the 12 dollar sale last year. I will be having my crabcrack at a park that overlooks the water on the Northshore of Long Island where there are alot of wineries. Ok, so the truth is, I just want another excuse to drink plenty o wine during the party.

I really like that idea! The best part is that you can "use" the wine after the wedding!

Love It!!! I don't get the part about it being "beachy" but the corks in place of sand and a candle, I think it looks great.

I still have to add the super affordable starfish and sanddollars that oriental trading sells to create the beach feeling. But nothing will over power the WINE heehehehe

Oh yeah, duh! I read that too fast. I love wine!!! I originally wanted to get married at a vineyard here in So Cal, but tooo expensive. For the same price, we get to party in Cabo for a week.

              Great Idea..

I LOVE IT! I actually prefer the darker bottle though. I think the lighter one just blends in too much.

              Very creative!

I love your idea of using the darker bottle. The darker bottle is actually cheaper to buy at $10 a pop and I just re looked at the picture and the label matches the corks. I kinda just threw the left over bottle of wine that I had in the fridge to get a visual, but Eurkea I think that will work...plus it is one of my favorite wines .hehhehe

If my FMIL starts stressing me out during the party I will always have a reserve on the tables to turn too...

That is a great idea!! I can still have the candle effect when the sun sets .

I think I lost the link for the cork candles, do you happen to have it on hand?

                  Thanks!!!
