DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have a question about something on the Dreams website. On one page it says you have to be in Mexico 4 "business" days before your ceremony (not including your arrival date) and on another it says only 2 days before. Which is it? 4 seems pretty ridiculous. If we want to travel together as a group we'd ALL have to be there 4 days before and I'm sure some people will only come for a week which means if we went on a Thursday for example, the wedding couldn't be until the following Thursday...? How does that make sense?? It would be the day people were leaving??

Or if it is 4, I guess we'd just have to go down before everyone else since we'll be staying two weeks....

Hey April - are you doing a civil or symbolic ceremony in Mexico? If you are doing a civil ceremony with the judge, you need to be there 3-4 days before to take blood and such...if you are just doing symbolic, it doesn't matter at all when you are there.

I'm doing my legal here and symbolic down there.

Jess, who is performing your ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe? That churck looks so gorgeous! I always thought I wanted to get married outside, but seeing pics of that church can change a girls mind for sure. It's beautiful!

Hey girls! just as a heads up, I'm making my own table runners etc. I just picked out the fabric - it's a pale silver/grey. My mom is going to sew the runners, and we might be bringing some other things for centerpieces - like crystal beads etc. I'm going to leave everything I bring at the resort (just like Lauren did) so you girls can always keep that in mind and use any or all of it if it works out with your colors too!

oh thats pretty Jill! Do we have the same colorshuh.gif Gray and pale yellow?? I just saw your monogram - for some reason haven't really looked at the colors that well before.

haha good question - they have 2 Priests at Guadalupe and they can't guarantee which one will perform the ceremony...one speaks English very well, the other not so much...I'm hoping for the one that speaks English well but I guess it doesn't really matter in the end

Rae - I just use the following for Rebeca:

[email protected]

and it works

Jess - My colors, were supposed to be slate grey, silver, and ivory/cream, but they are changing a little more to just grey and ivory. I almost was going to add a vibrant color in it, but I don't think I will. I'm going for the silver/grey with just a lot of crystals if I can find them. I'm just going to use the white linens/chairs/plates and then want the table runner with maybe some ivory roses and teardrop crystals coming out of the vase. something like that....? DD is going to a magnificant job with your grey and yellow! I can't wait to see that!

I really wish I had it in my budget to use them, they do the most incredible job!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
