Invites are going out today for my first shower. YEA!

So I had my reception place booked and deposit paid. When our guest list started to go way over the max capacity, we were lucky and found another place because someone canceled their weeding (yikes). But everything seemed to be working out until when we tried to cancel the other place, willing to lose the deposit, they said that we waited too late, and would've needed to let them know 6 months out. That being said, they are now trying to get us to pay 25% of what it would've cost to have it there! Isn't that ridiculous? But I think we're going to see if they'll let us have the rehearsal dinner there instead and let us get out cash free... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

My ticker is freaking me out! My wedding date is May 1, but we leave on April 26th, so I'm at the very, very beginning of May! Casey, I just realized that you've been nominated member of the month. You totally deserve it!!! I just saw Donnie Brown on "Whose Wedding is it anyway" and it totally made me think on you!!!!

I know what you mean Mel!! We leave on the 9th, however we're going to be out of town from the 2nd through like the 6th for the FI's godson's communion! Then we get to come home and pack!

I finally cleaned out my closet and found everything I have for my OOT bags! Last thing to buy for them is puzzle books.

My mom is coming over the end of Feb, so we can pack up some of my OOT stuff and put it in the spare room. I can't stand all my clutter!!

Thanks Mel!!! smile03.gif You're such a sweetheart! I may be an idiot, but who is Donnie Brown? Is that a famous WC or something? I hate that I never have time to watch those shows. Stu fills my DVR with reality TV hahaha....

My ticker is freaking me out too! I was freaked out when it said 4 months, so I'm super freaked now that I'm 3 months out! There's still so much to do!!!

I actually had a bit of a breakdown the other night about how soon the wedding is. A lot of my OOT bag stuff came in and I was sitting around watching TV looking at all the stuff and I started to freak out and cry. Not sure why I was crying. Maybe it is because it is so soon and it is really happening. Anyone else feeling like this yet?

I feel like I have nothing done and so much to do, but I don't know what I need to do. Confusing! Blkatz - I feel ya, I just haven't started crying yet bc I'm just lost and confused. I need a list. I work well with lists. Here goes one:

Stuff I have for OOT Bags

-Tylenol

-Fans and batteries from Pier 1

-Tissues

-First Aid Kits

-Sewing Kits are currently being assembled

-Little 2 oz bottles I plan on filling with stuff and have no idea what.

Thats about it so far...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
