I've spent about $190 on paper, envelopes, and pocketfolders... Wow. I guess its all enough to make my STDs(done), about 40-50 invites, and then for wedding programs, update brochures, welcome letters etc... So I guess its not that bad... but thats a lot of money for paper!

I know of the blue parrot hotel...its right on 5th avenue(the main street with lots of shops/restaurants) in pdc. I didn't see much of it when I was there, but, I would say if you want a place that is centrally located/in the middle of all the action...it's a good choice, don't know about the beach situation. Also, it looked like the front part is a club/bar at night. Hope that helps!

We're only doing invites for our AHR. I bought the DIY invitation paper at Michaels. My mom has a friend who's a printer, so he's going to print everything for us.

I was at Sams Club and they have the big boxes of the single pack advil, tylenol, immodium, ect. I'm going to grab those after the new year. Instead of doing little boxes for the first aid kits, I'm doing organza bags.

What I did was buy the largest organza bag I could find. In my artistic mood, I decided "oh, it'll look so cute if I add pink and blue ribbon in with the ivory to keep them shut!" What a pain in the ass! OMG what I was thinking!! The worse part is, I'm doing 1 organza bag for the small body wash, lotion and hand sanitizer. PLUS! A second bag for Advil, Immodium, Chapstick, ect... Once I finish them, I'll post pictures.

Slowly things are starting to come together. Today we did add 2 more to our cruise, my godfather and aunt, which gives us a total of 19. Now if the other 10 or so people make up my mind, I'll be happy!

Hi - I'm a May 2009 bride too and can't decide if this thread makes me feel good or bad about what I've accomplished. I got engaged September 30th, and since then we've booked the Hilton Los Cabos, found a photographer we love (Juan Carlos Tapia thanks to this forum!) and started working on our wedsite. Trying to pick STDs now to get out asap. Haven't even thought about the dress yet... All of you who are already working on OOTs - I'm impressed - and jealous!

Oh my God are you kidding ? Well I hope this makes you feel better ! I got engaged on Sept 29th and since I have done nothing but looking and looking and looking and looking again !! Nothing's booked, nothing's done, actually, yes, one thing, today I found the way to finance this wedding until I get my bonus in March... but that's about it... smile27.gif

Let's look at the bright side : I've compiled so many pics and ideas that the day I will get started it will probably go faster...

... hopefully ...

And last but not least you're getting married 4 weeks after me !

So : you're in advance ... on me !! wink.gif

Ayita - you made me feel better but don't dispair - sounds like you've done a ton, just contemplating decisions and there's still time!

Based upon everything I've seen here, location/date and photographer seem to be the things to book within 6 months and the rest can follow - so you still have some time!

Hurra !

I did my first concrete thing today ! I put a deposit on my flowers order !

I'm getting some gorgeous (a company) ! They had room for small orders between Jan and March, so my flowers will be there by Jan end !

I'm happy ! smile123.gif

Tonight I'm getting started on the dress... After taking advise from this forum I callled several salons and they confirmed I am better getting started now - even though I still have 24 pounds to shed...

Still no news from the location though frown.gif Please pray with me so that they sign with a wholesller ! I set myself a deadline to Friday next week before moving on to another option. This makes me sad...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
