Casa Valerie

Recommended Posts

Thanks for all the great pointers!!! I am also slated to visit Casa Valerie this October. From what I have gathered, from my wedding planner, is that it is a fairly large space that can accommodate approx. 100 guests.

Once I return from my scouting visit, I will post as much info/pics as possible!

Yeah for PV Villa brides!!

If you don't mind me asking, who is your wedding coordinator?

We are booked for a wedding at Casa Valerie in April. Getting married at Hacienda San Angel. I haven't had any problems with Valerie (owner) since we booked. We have enlisted the services of Prisar. They are doing the same wedding for the owner's son a few weeks prior and rumor has it the Casa (as stunning as it is) is going to get another full makeover. We visited quite a few villas and this by far was our favorite because of the view. The level of floors and the large pool which everyone is jumping in at the stroke of midnight.

I have decided to go with Carol from VOWS. We met with her last week while we were there and she was great. She took us to see 10 different villas. Mishka went with us one day to see six of them. I have to upload pictures and write reviews on them. Two that I loved were Mediterraneo where your wedding is Kathy and the other is Casa Guillermo. Mediterraneo has 4 bedrooms and was great but I think we're leaning towards Guillermo because it has 12 bedrooms and is right on the beach. It is gorgeous. I'll keep you posted on what we end up booking!

Hi WindyCityGirl. We changed our minds a hundred times and finally settled on Casa Crescencia but found out that it wasn't being rented anymore because the owner was moving back in. We had to start all over at square one without seeing the villas we were thinking of at that point. Then a few people started complaining about going so far, the economy got bad and my daughter got engaged and began planning for her wedding in March 2010. At that point we decided that the timing wasn't right and it just wasn't meant to be. So now we have no plans to marry for a couple years anyway and I'm not even sure where or when sad.gif It was the right choice for us though. Hope yours turns out great.

I had my wedding at Casa Valerie on April 16 2010, and there are no words for how awful it was dealing with the owner Valerie. We got socked with hidden charges, overtime fees, crazy grocery charges, and the worst of it is she wouldnâ€t return the security deposit until we paid an extra $300 US on top of the $150 already given to staff for a 2 day stay! Afterwards she had the odasity to ask for a favourable review and only then gave us back our money. Venue is gorgeous and her poor staff are friendly but it's definitely not worth it. Every time we look at our pictures the first thing we think of is the ordeal we went through.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
