HI,

Picking your place will be the most stressful part of the planning the rest is all fun. You have to make sure you ask important questions of what you want to narrow down the choices or it will get totally over whelming. Like do you want it to be kid friendly resort that gets rid of at least 50% of your choices either way. How many guest do you think you will have 100 or 10? Do you want all inclusive or not? I fell in love with one place and had to settle for a different place due to the prices of the rooms for the guest that I budgeted. So my advise is figure out what you want then find it don't look at everything and confuse yourself.

Welcome to the Forum...just look around as many brides to be have posted where they are getting married and then there is specific info on those areas.

I am getting married in Cuba so that is probably out for you but I have heard many good things about Jamaica and there are some small islands that you could look into...if cost is an issue...ask around to some brides about specifics as there is a thread on here where brides have put the costs of their weddings.

Good Luck!

I have to agree that Aruba is beautiful, but having been here this weekend, I would definitely argue that is not humid!!!! :)

Anyway - I plan on posting my comments about the RIU in Aruba when I return, but I just wanted to answer and say that as an officiant, I travel to many resorts, and I have been very happy at the RIU resorts. The Aruba location is beautiful, and the wedding director is lovely. It is an all inclusive, and I believe their prices are very reasonable. The island is much less crowded and overrun, and I highly recommend considering the location.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
