My idea was to buy all of their dresses, jewelry and shoes. Does that seem like not enough? I would probably do more but with such a large group everything adds up fast. NOt to mention there will be 100+ people coming to the wedding so they will all get OOT bags. Any suggestions on websites for reasonably priced dresses or gifts for the bridal party??

I know exactly what you mean! It is very easy to get caught up and go overboard with the OOTs Check out Walmart, thy have insulated bubba kegs in sale right now, the 18oz is only $3, $4 for the 34oz and $5 for the 52oz! These are amazing deals. You could do the 34 or 52 oz mug with. Few little things tucked into it and it would be more than enough. I would suggest the mug and maybe a key card holder or something since you can make these pretty inexpensively! If I were to do my OOTs over I would do just our mugs and our wedding week survival kits but the kits were likely the our most expensive item as this meds and such add up! At least by doing the mugs you are giving the guests a "favor" that they can use while away and take home for use there as opposed to spending the same amount on something that will either get tossed or never used! Good luck

I've been looking around, but everything is so expensive and adds up when you're having a lot of guests. We're expecting around 50. What stuff did you put in your OOT bags??

Let's see if I can remember:

we did a buffalo trip on the weekend and found bubbas in the clearance section, so all of the guys got the big ones 52 oz, and the girls got 32 oz, kids over 7 got 18 oz

bath and bodyworks hand sanitizer

body wash

sunscreen

kleenex

first aid kits

pen

mints

aloe gel - avon

mini candles - bath and body works

little face cloths for the kids, that you put in water and they expand or something equally silly from dollar tree

dive toys for kids - 3 pk/$1

notepads for the kids

little bags for the kids from the children's place - very cute

it's crazy, and honestly if I wasn't leaving on Sunday, there probably would have been more stuff, it's taken all of my energy not to try to think of everything, but now I don't care as much! Hahaa!

Yeah i actually called and spoke with someone there. They will offer an additional 20% off but of course the dresses I like are all still 120-160 even with the discount. I think I am just going to have to look into ordering them from China. Thats the only way I think I will get the dresses for a reasonable price.

$15.00 Bridesmaid dresses!! You have to go to the left hand side column and click on sale items!! But there is a ton! I'm not sure about what sizes they have but hey it's worth a shot right!! Especially if you have to buy 10 of them!! Good luck!!!!

Sounds good! I definitely understand the dresses need to come first. If you have any questions just let me know :)

Another idea...(this is what I did) is to check Overstock.com. I found my bridesmaid's dresses on there and everyone loved them. The great part...they were $50, re-wearable and a color that popped! No one ever had any idea that they weren't "bridesmaid's" dresses and it saved everyone quite a bit of money :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
