Busted Ankle...Need Help Still Staying In Shape
Posted 08 August 2008 - 05:43 PM
So now I cannot work out for at least 2 1/2 weeks and am being ordered to rest and ice my ankle in the meantime, which translates into me eating more junk food, laying on the couch, and putting on the pounds.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I can lose weight and tone up while trying to obey the dr's orders?

Now I'm a total convert and lift 5-6 days/wk and only do cardio about 2-3 days/wk. Just do as many weight-lifting exercises as possible that don't require you to stand. Good luck!

I agree that you can do some weight training to keep you active. Does you gym have a pool? Swimming is a fantastic whole body work-out and there is no impact.
