Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to review Morgan's suggested reading- I'd love to get some great cenote pictures, but I don't want to destroy any ecological beauty in the pursuit of TTD pictures, so... thanks for posting all of this!

Thanks Morgan for the list of different cenotes, and the article too. I will be watching this thread for the next 6 months so that I can learn as much as possible from others who have done it firsthand.

Okay, so I've been searching through all of the old threads about cenotes. I'm wanting to do TTD pics in a cenote. I've been searching for all the different ones and pictures. I saw this thread and the picture Jason posted and fell in love w/ it! So I started searching and became very dissapointed. The picture w/ the vines is NOT Grand Cenote, its Ik Kil cenote, which is out in the middle of northern Yucatan peninsula. Its much further out than we would be able to go. I was soooo bummed so I'm still looking, but I wanted to save any other girls from searching for that beautiful cenote near by.

there were really cool vines at gran cenote. that is where my pictures were taken. it really was beautiful. i agree it's best to not travel all the way to ik kil. it would take all day to get pictures there.

Sorry if that came off mean, I know Gran Cenote does have vines, just not as many as Ik kil. Morgan, I LOVE your cenote pictures, your photos are actually the ones that have gotten me hooked on a TTD in a cenote. As soon as I saw that picture I LOVED it, but couldn't remember your photos looking just like that. Ik Kil is a WHOLE day to travel to and from and do photos. I'm looking into Dos Ojos Cenote for ours. If we can't go there we will probably go to Gran Cenote. I just wanted something different, no offense toward you, but something i hadn't seen from anyone else. I LOVE your photos and all your input on the cenotes is so great and definitely appreciated.

Morgan, thank you for doing pictures at a cenote, you have inspired me!
