Hi everyone! I'm a former October 2010 bride that is now a July 2009 bride!

My FI popped the question on September 15, 2008 after two months of dating. Everyone thought we'd rushed into it, but we knew better. Hey, when you know, you know.

So we started planning for a nice country wedding for October 10, 2010 (10.10.10--lucky number 10s :) After giving it a month's worth of thinking, we decided it was too far out and changed the date to his birthday--July 31, 2009-- and the plans to a nice beach wedding at sunset.

We have about two months to the wedding and I procrastinated so I'm justttt now starting to get into the planning. Thank goodness we're only inviting less than 15 people to the nuptials so it's not a whole lot of planning. We only have a few more things left to do and I'm sure, before I know it, it'll be the big day. Yayy!

Yay! You are a fw days before me. Our legal day is June 23. A mentor of mine is a Reverend (sp). and she is going to marry us at her office, which happens to be an old nunnery with a chapel. I am really excited for that day!

But we are going to celebrate July 5 as our Anniversary.

I just remembered I need to get the lincense! Uhhh!

We are all getting so close girls!!!

We are finally on the countdown. My goal was to have everything done by the first week of June so I could just pamper myself, pack everything (probably several times) and be ready to leave. We leave on July 5th for an 11 day stay.

The only thing I haven't finished is the wedding brochure / welcome letter!! I am still finalizing some details with the resort but hopefully I can get that done and ordered next week.

Good luck to all of you these final weeks and days!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
