Hi guys!I am a NEWBIE...we do not have a wedding planner yet.....I am wondering how to block off rooms for our guests? Do we go through a travel agency? And if so, do we pay them? Any info would be great!

Remember to only post once. Once you post it it will go into your subscriptions and only pop back up in the main window when someone replies.
You should get a travel agent to block rooms and book through. Most don't charge any extra. We have several of them on this forum. Good luck!

I blocked rooms directly with the place that I'm getting married. You can also use a travel agent. The group discount rate was cheaper when I went directly with the venue instead of the travel agent. I will put the travel agent on my invitations but I've also told the travel agent I have specific rates that should be used with our location.

        Good luck to you.
