Awww...thanks Amy:-)

Now, I'm certainly not an authority on etiquette of ANY kind (haha)...but I don't think just putting "reading 1 and reading 2" is weird...
but like I said, I really don't know much about how these things are done:-)
I think it's fine and I bet no one will even notice:-)

Sounds like you have a busy day ahead...my mission: go get glue!:-)

Phew! Simistar - I LOVE your stuff. It looks great! Did you just make up your own templates or buy something?

I am wondering how I'm going to do everything... I'm starting to stresS!girl_werewolf.gif

I work at United Way and we often get tons of things given to us for our donors/volunteers. Sometimes there are extras. Those tickets were extras and I won them among the staff. :) One of the perks of working for very little money for a charity pinkie.gif

I was so tired though I just passed out last night. I came home at around 5pm, crawled into bed and slept til 9:30! Skipped dinner completely. Then I was chatting to poor FI who was trying to sleep! pokestick.gif

We just got bac kfrom a full day of driving around picking stuff up.

Bought:

- Aloe (for OOT bags)

- Sudoku and word puzzles (OOT)

- place cards (Martha Stewart - eyelet ones). I decided not to make them from scratch as I have too much to do

- tissue paper (coloured) for favor boxes

- Hershey kisses (for favor boxes)

I also looked at Pier 1 but they didn't have those beach mats sad.gif

And I tried to get programs that are all ready to print on, but couldn't find anyhuh.gif I've got to go do that tomorrow.

AND My seamstress called and asked if I could come in on Monday for 2nd fitting. WTF? It' slike she is trying to get me to do my dress totally as early as possible. It's stressing me out! I want to have her fit me closer to my WD. Am I nutshuh.gif I told her I could come Monday, but I might call her tomorrow and back out and just say that we'll have to keep to the 15th (our original appointment for the 2nd fitting).

I also went to the gym this morning and did week 3 of the learn to run. Phew! I made it through! I was pretty proud of myself :)

I have to take pics for you girls of my OOT bags. I really like them :) I have to iron about 10 more tomorrow.

So, one more thing to check off the to-do list!
(except for the ones I couldn't finish because of the lack of glue situation...)

Simistar! I love these. Did you use a scrapbooking punch out for the palm tree?

Okay, I'm freaking!!! I haven't completed ANYTHING!!!!

I have all the paper for the programs & menu's but haven't figured out what I want printed on them. I totally forgot about place cards & table numbers which means I have to figure out seating charts (forgot about that too)

We're doing seashell ornaments for our favors. My mom has all of the seashells and has drilled holes in them. She bought the ribbon to loop through the holes to hang and as even bought little cards to be printed and attached. Not sure what I want to print on them. Thank god she's on the ball.

I do have a welcome booklet that I started months and months ago. I guess I can just work on that and print them.

I still need to finish my music playlist.

I need to get shoes for myself and my MOH!

what else am I missingsmile105.gif

Lady, you sound like you're totally on the ball! DON'T stress!! It causes wrinkles:-) haha...

I too am a tad stressed about some of the things I have yet to get done...but isn't that what wine/beer is for...? I had at least two glasses of wine while I made those placecards last night...it does wonders, trust me:-)

I actually TRIED to use a template a girl on here sent me...but ended up basically having to re-do it b/c my computer, for reasons I can't figure out, won't let me use text boxes, which is what the original template used...

I'm more than happy to send it to anyone...I did make some changes, but happy to share that info too!

No, you're not. I think you should stick with the 15th. Especially since you're running...I would think the closer to your date the better, in terms of a good fit...

I have my first fitting tomorrow morning...I'll let you know how THAT goes:-)

I did! I used a mini palm tree punch! I'm stuck working with a black & white laser printer, so I can't put colourful clip art on or anything, so that was my solution:-)

I also used a "corner rounder" punch for the corners...

So I did it...I went for my first fitting with the seamstress! And it was actually quite fun! :-)

The seamstress is SUPER nice and totally seems to know what she's doing...I found out she actually does the costumes for Vancouver Opera, so I'm sure my dress is in good hands:-)

She's also going to a make a bow-tie for my FI out of some fabric I had bought...whoo-hoo!

And I was really worried she was going to charge an arm and a leg (you, know, the good ol' "bridal" mark-up:-))...but it's going to be $200 -- which I think is totally reasonable!

The one thing I forgot to do...AGAIN...bring a camera...so no pics:-(

BUT, I have my second fitting next weekend, and I'll TRY to remember to bring a camera so I can post a pic!:-)

Oh, and BTW, Kevsgirl -- I was right next to a Pier 1 today, so I went in to see if they had any of those beach mats for you...they didn't:-(

Thanks for thinking of that! I've decided I'll live without them for the OOT bags. FI and I wre going to drive down to the U.S. yesterday and just didnt have the energy. It's ok...

That's great news about your seamstress! I'm happy with mine (in terms of feeling she'll do a great job), but not so happy about the timelines. I called her back today and told her I couldn't come tomorrow, so I'm back on for the 15th for my second fitting. Yahoo! elefant.gif The longer it takes her, the closer it will be to fitting me on the big day.

I worked on our programs tonight. I went out to Michael's to buy programs, but decided to make our own. They're alright. Tomorrow I'll do a real mock up one (spray glue, etc.) and post pics.

Now I'm starting to stress..wedding is in 27 days & i have so much to do!!!

How long did your ladies alterations take on your dresses? I just picked mine up from the bridal store yesterday, so gotta get in to get that done. Did you take it to the seamstress your bridal store recommened or works with or did you guys use someone else? I'm just afraid of going to a random one (tho I got my dress from city 2 hours away so would like to not have to drive back there for alterations) & if they aren't familiar with the designer of my dress, you think there could be issues with my alterations?

Also, you know what sucks! The dress was little big when we ordered it & now when I went to pick up & try on, now it freakin fits..even little snug! WTF!!! I've been working out trying to LOSE weight for wedding & looks like I've gained! ERRRRRRRRRRRRR smile27.gif

I also had my shower/bachelorette this weekend, so I'll post pics tonight. we did them back to back since all my family flew in so figured do it at once so they could be apart of it! Turned out nice & the party bus/bachelorette part was crazy!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
