Ok, I was searching for "favorite summer drinks" thread and didn't find one, but I think this is good enough! I'm going to a BBQ tomorrow and was thinking to bring something delicious and this is perfect!!

Alys - how many people do you think this serves? There will probably be 10-15 people at the BBQ, possibly more, possibly less. But obviously, not everyone will drink this. Do you think making just 1 recipe is enough? I might have to make it tonight, so I can "test" it out.

Oh and how much liquid does it make? I'm wondering how I will transport it since the BBQ is like 30 mins away...

This sounds delicious! I saw something similar on Semi Homemade where they hollowed out the watermelon, balling it, and poured the drink back into the shell, using the watermelon balls as garnish. Sounds like a pain in the butt but pretty cool.

Hmmm... I printed the ingredients and I'm giving it to bartender Steve. Let's see how he fairs. He likes to make drink concoctions and surprisingly he's pretty good at it. I worried if the watermelon juice would be strong enough to mask the vodka. It's hard for me to drink vodka since I've thrown it up so much. HA! I'm classy.

yummy!! my brother (a bartender) made watermelon martinis for our gym pool party and they were a hit. i was not drinking the month of June (after we got back from jamaica i swear my blood was pure rum) so did not get to try the adult version.

if it weren't sunday i would go get the vodka and make this now! it sounds so refreshing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
