I agree!!!! I think it is a fabulous idea!! BUT IF AND ONLY IF, you will let them handle it!!!!!! From what I know of you, I think you will try to make it super cute and do all this stuff for it (I would be the same way)...I think you should definitely do it if it doesn't stress you out!!!!!! It will be nice for yall to get to celebrate with the fam!

HAHA! You already know me too well :)

You're totally right, this I would have to let happen. Also, from what was mentioned to me, they would do it 4 months after my wedding so like in September which is good, gives me a little time off and I wouldn't go crazy out of my way for it.

As a gift from one of my close friends, she is a professional film editior and he is a camera man for television and movies out here in LA are actually borrowing a really pro video camera and offered as my wedding gift to professional film and edit a wedding video for me. This is the most amazing gift to me so I figured I'd be able to show this to everyone at my AHR as well :)

Thanks Meghan! I agree :) Especially if someone is going to do it for me, I won't interfere too much :) My Italian side of the family throws the best parties, tons and tons of homemade Italian food and lots of booze and laughter.

Thanks Lindz! I've been speechless about that gift for awhile now, it means so much to me!

I think it may be too long for YouTube... don't they have a 30 minute max? I'll figure out some way to get it so you all can watch it :)

Side note - I've been extra emotional all of a sudden, our first dance song never made me cry, now I'm balling at work... I'm worried I'm going to be a pile of mashed bride by wedding day, LOL!

I think a cheaper and fun way to decorate a table is to buy a bunch of maracas when you are in Mexico and put 4 (+/-) in the center of the table. Its also a fun prop when dancing. Honestly though I have also seen pictures of weddings in Mexico without centerpieces and they look lovely too. Its like the wedding pictures - yes the flowers on the arch/gazebo are nice, but its just as pretty without them.
amy, i love this idea, thank you! it's my top choice now...i just feel like there should be something there. but using this idea means I don't have to do anything in advance and if when I get there and see the tables etc and decide it DOES need something, I can go get some maracas! Genius idea
I finally (with the help of a friend) wrote down my WHOLE to do list! YAY
it does feel good when you do that doesn't it?! my FI is off this week and said to me today, if you get bored on the train on your way home, write me an email of all the things we've got to do....so off the top of my head and about 10 mins later, I sent him a list of 33 things we still need to do!! lol his response - I can handle that!! lol we'll see how he does!

YAY!!! don't you just love it when things like that happen?! i haven't had that yet...I'm still eagerly waiting in anticipation!

I have used Vista Print for my AHR invites and I am using Publisher for my inserts with the invites, and our wedding brochure - I just find it really user-friendly and there's so much you can do! that's my vote lol
