Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Luggage is going to so expensive! My FI and I were just having this conversation about how we are going to get everything down to the resort. Shipping is a no go, apparently Mexican customs likes to go through and take things that say "Made in China" in it. Hello!!! Almost everything is made in china now days!!

My FI travels alot so I am hoping he has some free bag coupons built up for us to use. I have also recruited people to take things for us. My mom is carrying my dress on just in case it needs to be searched, that way my FI will never see it until I walk down the aisle.

Oh yeah that's what I was afraid of with Vistaprint... would you mind sharing it? I'm trying to cheat my way here if you can't tell wink.gif LOL

I can't even begin to imagine how much luggage I'm going to have. I always overpack even for a weekend getaway so I know I'm going to overpack this time and couple that with all the other stuff such as OOT bags and vases, I know I'm gonna have to give some bags for people to carry.

For the vases I'm only going to do one per table so I should only have 8 vases, which isn't that bad for me to bring. I'd rather pay $1 each for 8 vases and pay the airline for an extra bag than pay $20 per vase for Lomas.
8 vases should be MUCH simpler! Especially if you split them up. Baggage fees are going to be ridiculous for me I know... I am too much of a control freak to give people too much stuff... I annoy me at this point!

Thank you!! I really hope this all works together, it's hard buying accessories for a dress I haven't seen in 6 months :)

This would be family only as itâ€s a 4 hour drive from where I live. FI is stoked, do you girls think I should do this? It would probably be a few months after my wedding.
Amy, I think thats a great idea BUT only if you can relax and let her do the work. After the wedding of the century you are planning, you and FI deserve some rest from party planning. I think a family only get together would be lovely and you could do a small slide show in PPT or online and show it at your cousin's house. It would be awesome.

Katie (and Lolo and anyone else) -

I think a cheaper and fun way to decorate a table is to buy a bunch of maracas when you are in Mexico and put 4 (+/-) in the center of the table. Its also a fun prop when dancing. Honestly though I have also seen pictures of weddings in Mexico without centerpieces and they look lovely too. Its like the wedding pictures - yes the flowers on the arch/gazebo are nice, but its just as pretty without them.

Its true too that you can use the BM and your bouquets as centerpeices. Thats always a kill 2 birds kind of option!!!!

amyB, i agree with you totally with centerpieces.... Since im having an at home reception, i cannot justify paying for things twice, so Ive actually decided to NOT have centerpieces and just do tons of candles... And the maracas if i can find them when I get there. Also, fyi, i read somewhere on this forum that one bride did NOTHING for her reception and they actually put candles on tables for you and she said they looked great. I saw a pic on kat somthings wedding review and there were blue candles all over and she said they put them there so you dont even need to bring anything.

I love the idea of beach elegance, so Im thinking of bringing crystal curtains to hang around in every other side of the gazebo for my reception. With the reflection of dj lights and candels i think it'll make a fab look!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
