Has anyone brought (or are bringing) down their own sheers for the gazebo? If so, where did you get them from, cost, etc. I'm just wondering if there is a way to do it a bit cheaper than the $150 per panel that they charge?

    Thanks everyone!

I used this website to purchase my fabric for the gazebo. It was 40 yards and fit into a suitcase just fine. They caught into the two panels for me at the resort. They are limited on colors but happened to have mine. I know there are other sites with the organza fabric rolls too.

I had started at noon with a pedicure than had my hair and makeup and was done about 2:30pm for a 4:30pm ceremony which seemed to work well. I didn't have my 2 bridesmaids get their hair done until 2pm and they still needed to do their makeup afterwards so that ended up being a little rushed. I should have done 1pm for them considering the timing my photographer wanted to maintain.

        Any advice?

I had my reception dinner at Spoon and it was lovely. The food was delicious, all the guests were happy with dinnner.  There are several waiters there to serve your drinks,  (no shortage of wine going around!)  and food to the guests and it is your own private section of the restaurant.  We didn't want any speeches, but my parents and bridal party gave a few short informal speeches/toasts and was very nice.  We had a great dinner and then went to the Mojito Lounge after to party.  I got really lucky as there was a live band playing that night and someone requested a song for us and the band dedicated a song to us, otherwise we weren't going to have an "official" first dance so that was amazing!  I had my flowers from the ceremony at church brought back to the restaurants and used those as our table centerpieces, as well as getting coloured runners and candles which was very affordable.  We were all pretty hot though and all the guests were using the wooden fands we had palced on the chairs at the ceremony, so I'm glad they came in handy and they looked good in the pictures!

I meant to post the above reply to Brit Canuck!  Also you asked about Caribe, we had Santos and I can't say enough great things about him - especially since my hubby hates getting his pic taken, he took some amazing shots of our whole group and just us together, I highly reccomend him.  I got the 6 hour package, we got 3 albums to take home, 6 postcards, 30 5x7's and a cd with over 700 pictures, I am really happy that is something I chose to spend money on.  If you want to see any more of our pro pics I can add you on fb, I posted a few on here recently if you got a chance to see them.

It took about an hour and fifteen minutes for hair and makeup, I didn't think it would be that fast. I ended up having loads of time to do photos before the ceremony but the heat wasn't very good for my hair. So I would say work backwards from the time you want to be done (I don't know if you're doing anything before the ceremony), and give yourself time to get dressed. My appointment was at 3pm and my ceremony wasn't until 6:30 so I had way too much time.

I leave on Wednesday yay! I'm getting a little anxious about the tropical depression going on. My wedding day shows rain 60%! Some of my family just got down there and they said it is supposed to rain most of the week:(
