Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We rented the sheers from Lomas.  We did one Tiffany Blue and one White.  Tip...if you are ok with white being one of your sheers it saves $50!

Then the flowers were separate.  I didnt end up doing a package, because what I wanted turned out cheaper if bought separately.

A couple of you were curious about how the tall vases looked as centerpieces, so here are a few pics I was able to screen shot...  I'm sure there is a much better way, but wanted to post it quick before my mgrs see me playing with pics :)

Did you bring down your own sheers?  (did you get a package for the gazebo or just pay for the gazebo flowers/sheers a la carte?)

:)

Thanks again!

Hi!

I saw some posts about wedding rehearsal and we had one the night before the wedding at Azul Beach Hotel.  We told them that we needed one and would not be happy without having one and they easily scheduled one for us.  It was pretty basic and only last about 15 minutes but did make me feel more at ease by having one.  I would try harder if you really want to have one and hopefully it will work for you!

You may be able to work this out with them, it really wasn't a big deal for us because although I am "type A-ish" at times, I knew it would all work out.  If you aren't able to schedule a rehearsal, just do an informal one with your wedding party when your ceremony location is vacant.  I promise you, just as other past brides have, it will all work out just perfectly in the end regardless!!!

:)

*if you decide down there, are the options that far from each other if you say "beach ceremony" on your in-room itineraries that your guests can't miss it?

They have two weddings per day at AS.  If you have a location that you prefer, inform your Miami WC now and they can reserve it for you.  Once they confirm your location, it will be inserted into your detail sheet and unless the weather is bad, your ceremony location will be guaranteed for your day.  I also suggest that if you have a reception location, you reserve it now as well through your Miami WC.

You can decide down there if you prefer, but if they have another event scheduled on your wedding day, you can only choose from the locations that remain.  The options are not very far from one another and your guests will all be told to meet somewhere approximately 30 mins prior to your ceremony and the WC will take them all to your ceremonuy location.  In the event that they are late, there are really only about four ceremony locations, all of which are fairly easy to locate and access.

Jessie, I know you asked me about EDM.... here are some photos from our Honeymoon there.  We were there for 7 days and the beach there is 10x's better than AS.  We had the Infiniti Pool Suite but keep in mind that they also have Swim Up Suites on their first floor if you so desire.  The resort only has 72 rooms and it was HEAVEN.  We initally had a hard time deciding between Secrets Maroma and EDM and once we walked down to Secrets, we knew we made the right choice.  EDM is secluded, romantic, quiet, quaint, and sophisticated.  Secrets Maroma was about a mile walk away (took us about 30 - 45 mins to walk there via the beach on a leisurely stroll) and it was on a stretch of resorts that mirrored Cancun.  Once we heard the Black Eyed Peas pumping at Secrets, we knew we made the right choice with EDM.  Hope these photos help and please PM me if you have more questions.  Anything you book in the Maroma or Tulum area is going to be BEAUTIFUL!

There are the 3 beach options. I would choose your favorite one and reserve it now (just like bigboponthebeach suggests!) They are far enough apart, that you will not interfer with each other. There are maximum 2 weddings a day, but from my understanding no limit on private events (ie. other cocktail parties, welcome parties, etc.) So you should also reserve your reception area. If you need pictures I am sure I can find some.

We made a small booklet with a map, and then I highlighted where the ceremony and reception sites were. Plus the resort is really not the big, so it wouldn't be hard to find! If you look at my planning thread I included the template for the welcome book, and the map should be in there. I just used Photoshop to add in the colored dots. (if you want the original map I am sure I still have it in my files and can forward it to you)

THanks Big Bop!!!

:)

I have already booked the reception location, but had no idea about the other wedding location.  For past brides that got married on the beach, which location did you choose?  I know there is one by the pier, but not sure about the other.

When do they tell you where your guests are to meet?  I wanted to put a wedding day itinerary in the OOT bags, but wanted to say where they should be half hour before wedding, is it always the same meeting spot?

THanks Murmel...I would def. love if you could email me the original map  :)

[email protected]

Thanks so much.  I did book zavaz for the reception, but haven't decided on the ceremony site (have no clue what the difference between the 3 are)....I know you got married at the one by the pier...any particular reason you chose that over the other 2?

:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
