Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!! I haven't read through the 150 posts I've missed, just wanted to pop in and say hi!!! Wedding went fabulous!! My review will come later but i have a big tip for anyone soon...if possible, I highly recommend having a friend know exactly what you want for the ceremony and reception so they can step in if the coordinators start to fall short. Decor was perfect, ceremony went smooth, but the reception organization could've fallen apart fast if our friend didn't step in and take over. My number 2 biggest tip is to give them one suitcase with an inventory list with descriptions of exactly how you want everything. I got this original idea from LessIsMore, and built on it by putting absolutely everything in writing in the suitcase...inventory, pictures, sermon, readings, order of events, etc. Well I better get back to my honeymoon! If anyone is considering the casitas...I highly recommend it!!! It has been fabulous here! It's pretty expensive, but totally worth it! Also, I didn't end up using all of my membership "weeks" for all of my guests, so if any of you need extra discounts for your honeymoon or straggling guests just let me know and I'll see what I can get. PM me though cause I have no idea when I'll get through all the posts! :)

Jaime or Tisha, would either of you girls be willing to sell your lights for the Zavas reception decor? I would rather just buy the right amount from someone who has already had their wedding there and knows the length and everything.

Anyone else with pink, gold or ivory wedding decorations PM me. I would love to just buy stuff from girls on here rather than having to buy brand new from somewhere else :)

Justine - what a great idea!

I live in SF and will be having my wedding in November. Are you tinking of bringing decorations back into the US or storing it somewhere there for future use?

Us girls getting together to save on decor and pay it forward - is such a great idea.

Especially with the rates Azul charges - Mamma Mia :)

Hi my fellow Azul Brides,

Has anyone dealt with the issue of having 3 year olds who are way advanced use the kids club?

I have a niece and nephew coming to AB and I would hate if they couldn't join the kids club play groups becasue they didn't meet the cut off.

Has anyone asked about this or overcome it?

Much obliged to anyone who has insight!

Marianne

My wedding is in September, I live in LA and was planning on bringing stuff back with me, depending on how much I bring and how much it will cost me for extra baggage. What are your colors? Maybe we can try to buy together or buy off someone on here :)

Justine - I'm definitely planning to sell my zavas decor! I'll have a better list of what's available when I get home, but off the top of my head, I have 6 strands of lights, 4 strings of 8" lit lanterns, 6 white 14" lanterns, and some 10" that I didn't end up using. All white turned out really nice with the tiff blue satin sashes and runners for a pop of color. I'll post pictures too so you can see how it all went together.

I was not able to find the answer to this question either.  I just went ahead and did it the way I thought it should be. If the order is changed a little during the ceremony, oh well, it's Mexico and we will just have to roll with it!  LOL  My order is:  prelude, processional, bridal march, words of welcome, recitation of vows, exchange of rings, sand ceremony and signing of docs, closing, and recessional.  I did not see your wedding date at the bottom of your post, but if it is after my date (05/28/11), I will let you know!

Jaime I am so glad your wedding was FABULOUS!  I can't wait to see your review.  Thanks for the tips...something else for me to do on the front end so that I won't be stressed when I get there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
