Alli - anyone try it?

oooh, Maura, thanks for posting that! I love egg mcmuffins! I'll have to look for the sarah lee ones next time I go to the store.

You know, I thought about making eggs today for breakfast, for some protein and fat, but was lazy and just had cereal, but I do like to try to eat a lot of protein because it truly does make you feel less hungry.

I ate a snacksize 100 calorie, fat free microwave popcorn last night while watching tv, that's okay right?

good tips! i too find that i am trying to eat more fat in my diet. it's funny how i never realized where all of my calories come from - carbs! i love that alli is making me more aware of what actually goes in, and why it's good/bad for me.

i'm having a harder time with lunches too... not gettting enough fat. either of you want to share what you have for lunch?

lately i've been having a 1/2 whole wheat pita, 5oz turkey breast, 1Tbsp lite mayo, lettuce, 1 slice provolone cheese. And I usually have some berries as well. I don't get anywhere near the 15 grams of fat with that....

I just started this today with the pills. So far I've had no treatment effects and I'm not starving, I've been able to eat stuff I enjoy. Tara I ate a grilled chicken salad for lunch. I think that's what I'm going to stick to b/c its easy and simple and pretty healthy. Also, Amy (Amy&Andy) sent me this whole food planning that outlines what she eats. She has recently gone vegan and I've been trying some of the stuff. She said she feels so much better now that she cut out dairy and meat from her diet. I don't know if I'm that disciplined but I am willing to try.

I have a question. What happens if you skip a meal and you don't take the pill, will it still be effective if you only had 2 meals and took 2 pills per day? Or do you have to take 3 pills and eat 3 meals? I only ask b/c sometimes I'm rushing out of the house in the morning and don't have a chance to eat breakfast.

glenda do you have a fridge at the office where you could keep milk? you could keep protein shake powder at your desk and milk in the fridge so if you didnt eat breakfast because you were in a rush, you still can have something nutritious so you dont go starving til lunch?

I could do that but the problem is that I go straight from my house to court. So I don't get back to the office until lunch time anyway. So it really wouldn't help me out. I guess I'll just have to make sure I wake up extra early so I can get a good breakfast.

Also I guess I am the only who is experiencing this but everytime I take the pill I get a little lightheaded. I feel flush and feel a little "off". I don't know if its just psychological or what but I was wondering if anyone felt any side effects from ALLI?

Yesterday for lunch I had a footlong veggie sandwich from subway, I think it was 8 grams and some cool ranch doritos which were 7 grams, I probably wouldn't have eaten the doritos, but because I was so low with fat at breakfast I wanted to make sure I got close to 15 for lunch. I absolutely LOVE subway, veggie subs from there have always been one of my favorites, its like salad with bread, lol! I know, I know, doritos are probably not the best choice for a diet, but I did stay within my fat and calorie guidelines for the day, so bad stuff sometimes within reason is okay.

Today for lunch I had a boca burger, on a bun, with a slice of cheese and some salad with spray dressing.

I thought I felt sort of weird yesterday, but I really think it was all in my head, today I feel fine, I think sometimes I just worry myself too much.

ALLI made me feel a little funny too when I tried it. Although I wasn't very committed to "sticking with it" and only tried it for a couple weeks.

I did have to be really careful about my fat and calorie intake, how I heard it works it it absorbs some of the fat you are eating and when you eat too much fat it has nowhere to absorb and you'll have greasy stools. It never got bad for me, but it was enough to make me hesitant about eating too much! ha!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
