My thoughts are, if you are a real beach fan like us then you might want to consider another location in that area. Just my $.02 and YMMV.

These are from 2007 and if you go through them there is some more recent photos. I am just stunned because this was such an amazing beach with palms and palapas.

My travel agent talked to the WC and asked about the beach renovation. She said of the 2 beaches on the property, the Tucan has been completely renovated and is great again, the second beach is still under construction but should be back to normal soon. She also sent along pictures of the beach taken at the end of may, so like 3 weeks ago.
I also have a slew of information about weddings at Iberostar Tucan that I will post later tonight when I get home. I’m a little of a research mongol and I’ve got hotel maps, wedding package pricing, rules and restrictions, etc.

Did you book a restaurant for your reception? We booked the steakhouse, I hope its good lol. Did you do a cocktail party after dinner or somewhere to do cake-cutting and first dances? I would love to hear more about weddings at Quetzal!!! Can anyone tell me about the Tucan side, would you say its better? Thanks for all your help!!!
