I love to entertain and host poker parties, dinner parties, Xmas parties, BBQ etc - it pisses me off so much when people tell you they are coming and don't show up. I have invested time and generally quite a bit of money to make sure there is enough food and drink for everyone.....and to top it all off - there is always some lame-ass exscuse.
With that being said - there sure seem to be a lot of facebook users out there (me included - i love it) - has anyone used facebook to join groups for weddings or anything?

It's NOT OK to RSVP via facebook!!!!!!!!!

We made an event for both our DW and our Buck and Doe. HOWEVER, they in no way replaced sending out invites!!

i dunno if i forgot to type this somewhere on the forum or not, but the other day MY OWN BROTHER sent me a message on my myspace wall (and i am NEVER on myspace, i should just delete it altogether) saying he doesnt know if he can scrape the money together to go to my wedding. i nearly called my dad to read him the riot act about why this is so inappropriate - i know my dad talks to my brother on the phone like 5x a week, so its not like he couldnt have asked my dad to relay the message. WTF! MY OWN BROTHER!

I agree, Facebook and other sites are alright for little things but really no appropriate for a wedding!
