I have never done scrapbooking before, so I'm a little clueless...OK, very clueless. I will be making boarding pass invitaitons, so I am going to purchase a paper trimmer and am trying to figure out which blades I need. I know I need the traditional straight blade, so I'm not worried about that. I would like my RSVPs to tear off and be mailed to me as a postcard. I've seen people mention perforating blades and scoring blades. It sounds like the perforating blade would be what I want, but what does a scoring blade do?

A scoring blade makes a dent in the page so that it folds nicely and in a straight line.

I used mine on the ticket jackets primarily. (Plus the center fold of my passport STDs).

I found it much easier to work with a scoring blade than a ruler or a bone folder.

I would recommend the Fiskars Desktop Rotary Trimmer: Click the image to open in full size.

I makes for a nice clean, fast cut and you can change the blades out of it. Not only can you get a blade for the scoring and cutting but also making those neat little perforated tear lines. wink.gif Plus the blades are pretty cheap.

Here is a list of blades that do all kinds of cuts. Fiskars Rotary Trimmer Blades - Discount Art Supplies

Beyond that all you need is a corner rounder punch you do have to cut the corners. wink.gif

LOL I was just about to post this. Also if you have a Hobby Lobby in your area they do the 50% off scrapbooking items every few weeks. wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
