Do you stalk your registries?

yari thats hilarious!

noo! you should open your gift when it arrives unless someone tells you not to -- the reason being that most of the time when someone sends you a gift, they know when it's been delivered, so if too long goes by that they havent gotten a thank you note, they tend to get cranky about it. a friend of mine did that and her guests thought she was so rude (i was friends with several other guests who sent gifts and didnt get immediate thanks) -- turns out she just hadnt opened any of the boxes yet!

i don't know - i just got a shower gift in the mail yesterday and we opened it. i guess you could either bring them to your shower to open with the rest of the gifts or hold to the side if the gift giver specially requests that ??

alyssa you dodo fryingpan.gif dont open any gifts that arrive in the mail between now and your shower! its bad enough you already know what they are smile120.gif besides, you want people to take your pic opening the gift at the shower, so you can show the person who sent it! my friends who didnt make it to my shower saturday but sent gifts LOVED that i sent out a link to a photo album of me opening their gifts

oh i am a stalker, but i wish i wasnt. my shower is 3 days away and the things i wanted most havent been bought sad.gif

i REALLY wanted this brown blanket, but no one is buying. also no one has bought any sheet sets, and WTF am i gonna do with the duvet and shams, with no matching sheets?

see, that is another reason we didnt want to register, you pick a certain item, or quantity of something, and it doesnt get fulfilled, and then you are stuck withe the choices A) using the item in an incomplete way, B) returning the item and resenting the people who MADE you register, or C) having to spend your own money to purchase the missing pieces, but having to wait until after the wedding when you get $ and taking the chance of the items no longer being available, and end then end having to hassle around returning it after all sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
