Hi all!!! Only 90 days until my wedding day!!! Wow, how time flies by!! I have my wedding dress, groom's attire and am finalizing plans for the reception in Jamaica!! We personalized maracas for favors at the wedding and my OOT bags are coming along! This is actually a link to my dress....

and my fiance is wearing a white beach shirt that we found at Express with light kacki pinstripe white pants=)

I am so excited about my attendant gifts b/c I just received them today...barefoot sandals for the beach...and they can transform into anklet bracelets if you want to wear them with regular sandals!!! I have included the website here!!

Beach wedding sandals, barefoot jeweled accessories for brides and bridesmaids feet in a tropical paradise.

Wow, January is going to come real fast!!!

Do you have any pics of your maracas? I think that is a great idea!

Wow your legal dresses are beautiful! Are you all having a lot of people at your legal ceremonies? For us, we are only having our parents as our witnesses. I saw a long white wool button up coat that Im desperate for... I think the legal ceremony is the perfect excuse to buy it wink.gif

Are any of you doing TTD photos? I am, but I'm doing it straight after the couples shoot, is anyone else doing that? I'm a little sad that I won't get to wear my dress for long, but I think this is the best way to go, rather than half to do more pics the next day when its only the 2 of us and no reception there.

I still have to check the proper areas for this, but, Im curious :) We are going to send out wedding anounncements (have to, no question according to Mom) and can't decide whether to get the announcement printed on a copy of a picture, or do paper ones and send a picture to important people. What do you think?

Only 1 more I promise! It's probably too hot for a dark plum color shirt for FI isn't it?

*blush* Sorry! I can't seem to keep posts short and sweet lately or not ask 100 questions! *blush*

Sorry, I won't be too much help to you. We're getting legally married in Mexico so no legal day stuff to worry about. We also are not doing a TTD session.

I don't think that Plum should be an issue. The average high tempurature in the Cancun region is January is 25-30. You make the call if that would be too hot.

We are having our Maid of Honour and Best Man over for the weekend/legal ceremony. We wanted to keep it small and did not invite anyone else because its going to be very small as we didn't want people to feel like they missed out.

I am using the dress that I previously posted on this thread for my legal day and then taking it with me to the Dominican Republic and using it as my ttd. I wanted to keep my real wedding dress so I bought the second. I will be doing my photos on a different day so that we can stay with the group (we'll have approx 30) and enjoy our reception.

As for your wedding announcements, it all depends on your budget. If you can afford to send out announcements with a photo, I say go for it. Those receiving it will appreciate it.

I think you're safe with the plum coloured shirt. It won't be any warmer that a summer day. If he can survive in that shirt at home during the summer, he can handle it on your wedding day. That's my opinion anyway.

I am doing ttd photos, but not on the day of the wedding. We are either going the next day or Monday, whatever works better for the photog.

For the wedding announcements, are you sending them before you go to announce you are getting married or after the fact to announce that you are actually married? Either way, I would send them out on a photo. I think people who care about you will love to see a photo of you guys together.

Now it's just to convince FI that he *wants* to wear a plum shirt lol!

Kelly, we would send them after to announce that we are married. I just noticed we have the same wedding date! :)
I noticed that too. Woohoo for January 10 Brides! elefant.gif I would definitely send an announcement with a picture from the wedding. People who can't make it will love it. Atleast I know I would if I was one who had to stay home...

Oh, and I am still working on convincing FI that even tho its on the beach he can't wear mesh shorts and t-shirt. lol He's kidding... I think. I know he finds himself very amusing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
