What I did before I had a WC was create a Word document where I put all my questions and pictures of my ideas. The day I got my WC, I emailed her the entire document and had her go through it and answer questions. This way you feel like you're doing something and you're not going to forget things while you wait.

I have the same problem, my wedding is not until 2009 and I have all these ideas and concerns and my FI has been annoyed and telling me that i'm not making this fun and i shouldn't do anything until the day I get to cancun.

The truth is that yesterday I started to freak out because my first pick for photographer became unavailable because so much time lagged before I got my contract, and I didn't want to book without a confirmed date. Now, every photographer I have contacted was already booked or too expensive for me to book. I had said that the photos were the most important thing for me..I want artsy photos etc. Anyway, this latest issue has been frustrating me along with other stuff.

In the end I know all of this is going to be ok, and I really enjoy planning the wedding details despite the set-backs, i guess men just don't enjoy them as much and get stressed out.

I hate to encourage people to be annoying like I was, but as I have said before, I got my on-site WC early because I was such a pain. (Probably 2 months ago, which would have been about 6.5 months from the wedding.) I was dealing with Carolina Lopez in Miami, and I think after awhile she just got tired of answering questions that were not her problem. I'm now dealing with Maribel Blancarte in Cancun, and she is pretty good with responding to e-mails, although we are having some "lost in translation" issues. I have tried e-mailing her in English and Spanish and still she's NOT getting it!

Hi everyone! I have only just found this website, I thought I had pretty much everything sorted in my head (even if it's not actually sorted) but you all have so many good ideas i'm thinking I have a lot more to do than I thought!

Welcome AshHol! I know exactly what you mean... I was the same way and then I was like "gee, I never thought about that..."

But now I'm so excited because I get to do some of the "extras" that I wouldn't have ever dreamed of being able to do at home.

Good luck with your planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
