Do they charge you to bring in an outside photographer?

Our 'kid' will be 15 so I'm sure they'll give her a children's bracelet. She won't even try to drink (not her thing), it's just we would like to be able to go somewhere that we can drink, and she can come.

So...dumb question of the day...what is the Hacienda?

I do beleive they charge you... but we simply had "a good friend" take our photos. he was staying at the resort so they didn't care. If you are using someone local to the area then they will probably charge you the day pass if not more.

It shouldn't be a problem... but after midnight it might be

No dumb questions. It's the "mexican market" on the resort. It's right at the entrance to the resort. It has all kinds of shopping, the 24 hour medical center and pharmacy, some bars, the sports bar, and the disco. It's really nice actually. We went there pretty much every night.

      Thank!

Anyone have any more info on the photographer? We're hoping to hire Del Sol but I didn't know what the fees for bringing him in would be.

Also, does anyone have a picture of where your wedding is (on the Tulum side) if it rains? We're thinking of October so there's a high risk of rain.

The fee for us to bring in an outside photographer was $90 USD. She brought an assistant but we were still only charged $90.

On the Tulum side - the inside location is the Tequila restaurant. Here are the pictures they sent me:

Sorry they're so dark. Right in front of the couple is a small garden and a little pond/fountain - it's actually very pretty. It is in the middle of the restaurant. It's the first thing you see as soon as you walk in.

Okay seriously, you ladies need to work for the Bahia and be their wedding coordinator. I still haven't heard from the WC but I feel I know everything already!

Where is the "diamond section" for Tulum? I'm trying to find it on the map but I can't.

Also, my sister was hoping to book a room which had a seperate room (wow that made sense, eh?). They have a baby so they wanted a seperate room (doesn't need to have a door) so that he can nap in one room, and they can watch TV, talk, etc. in the other room without waking him. It doesn't look like Tulum has any rooms like that, do the other sections? I can't find anything.

Nope, no rooms have seperate rooms. The junior suites have a seating area which is next to the bed... but it's not seperate by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm pretty sure the diamond section for Tulum is the most nothern buildings.

The club diamond section is just behind the Tequila restaurant and the wedding gazebo. It's the section of building just behind those two. But if you pick the Tortuga restaurant, that is way at the other end of that section. But you will have the trolleys to bring you to it.

Thanks. I thought the Club diamond were the rooms closest to the beach. But it doesn't sound like it.

Does anyone have a good quality map of the Bahia? I've been going off the one on Loco Gringo but it's such a low resolution that you can't make out what building is what.

The rooms are close to the beach, it just depends what section of the beach you want to go to. Most of our guests stayed in the Tulum section but not the club diamond so we went to the beach closest to the 24 hour snack bar or main pool most times. Sorry I don't have a map. It's a big resort but really you can walk to everything. We walked all the time to the main lobby, restaurants etc... The only times we took the trolleys was to go to the hacienda.
