I am really wanting to do this too...but I can't seem to find bottles I like. Well...I love many bottles, but I want to be able to cork it or have a lid to it so I can keep it and take it back home with us. Everything I seem to see is either so small, it is hard to pour into (I do like the leave funnel idea) or too big with no lid. Anyone know of a good place to look for a closeable contiainer?

I'm doing the picture sand ceremony from the other thread! I got my frame at target and I'm just putting pictures of us in it and it will close and come back to the states with us! It is pretty easy to do!

I do like the vases as well but just didn't think I would be able to transport it back.

I would look at an Arts and Crafts store, they always have bottles.

Hey Natalie, is it a special type of frame that you got at Target for the sand?

I've found some decanters with lids online that could easily work. I'm going to do some more searching before I start to post some links...

it's the frame that has 2 glass pieces inside of it, so there are different layers to poor sand! I will try to find a picture of it for you

I read about that picture sand ceremony on the other thread, but still am a bit confused...do you just place the frame flat and start pouring over the pictures and then put the back of the frame back on?? How do the colors get swirled like that?

I seen the pic in the other thread, I'm just still a little interested to find out if the sand will leak out. Have you tested it yet?

This is kind of like it.
