I have a friend that gets these white spots & she has to take an anti-fungal medication when it happens. I don't think it's a big deal, but she just doesn't like the spots.

I have some hyperpigmentation, but its mostly in the form of freckles on my upper cheeks and near my eyes. I had my second (in a series of three) photofacials (IPL) done yesterday.

I definitely saw some results after the first one. My dermatologist recommended a higher "dosage" for my second treatment. My freckles are definitely darket today. They get darker and then fall off in about a week (at least that's what happened the first time). Hopefully I will see better results this second time around.

I'm also starting Obagi-C RX skin care line, which is supposed to help with hyperpigmentation and overall skin tone. It supposedly entails some peeling and a process of cell turnover, which I am not looking forward to.

I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.

Now, Leigh the Lustra AF is that a skin bleach and what exact facials do you get? I'm going to look into the facials, I've never had one.....believe it or not! I'm the same way I stay out of the sun but shooting outside really makes it hard to stay sun free! I hate using sunscreen on my face because it makes me break out but I do use Bare Minerals and that has a sunscreen in it. I find it really works nicely too.
the lustra AF is an RX. i get it from canada where you dont need an RX. its a skin lightener. im was being lazy when i said facials. i get a glycolic microderm combo every few weeks or so.

My sister has this. She told me that it was from her using the tanning beds. Eww...really makes me not want to go tan, but I also really don't want to have awful tan lines.

I feel bad for you ladies that have it on your upper lips. I think that would be worse because people think you are hairy. People think that I have a large birth mark on my forehead, if I'm not at work, and if I am at work they tell me to wash my face b/c I have ash or dirt on it.

I have a brand new tube of Lustra-AF (unopened) but it expires 5/08.. if anyone wants it, just send me a PM and pay for shipping. I bought 2 when I was trying it thinking it was one bigger tube for cheaper. I got a stronger hydroquinone cream from the doctor and used that instead. Lustra AF has SPF 20 in it.

I have pigmentation under my nose and on the side of my chin. I'm very self-conscious but nothing seemed to help so I gave up on the creams. I just make sure I wear a good sunscreen to keep it from getting worse.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
