I managed to get the prices for the hol for our guests on Thursday. Soo I tell FI and say get your lot sorted (this is a max of 3 people plus their partners and kids, not telling FMIL until after her wedding as we don't want the stress yet lol)

I emailed him the info and thought right he'll get onto it, and then I told my lot, my MOH hasn't gotten back to me (not a surprise lol) but everyone else has, and I have their decisions.

SOOO i speak to FI just now and say right this one is coming this one can't afford it etc, how about your lot and I get "errr dunno not spoken to anyone!" so i try to stay calm and say you need to do it this week and as I would like some idea as to who is coming or not! then I can amend the package or whatever. His reply "yeah yeah I'll do it this week!! and i need the details and i'm in the car lol" I said check your bloody email I sent it on Thursday lmao

I mean is it hard to ring people who you've already asked, give them the info and say let me know please lmao well if he doesn't do it less people to worry about cause i'm sure as hell not lol

He's on his way to his sisters so god knows what bright ideas she is going to have but you can bet she'll be saying well I think you should do this yada yada yada.

Phew feel better now thanks lol smile78.gif

Thanks
My TA in the UK got them for us on Thursday, he had the hotel prices before that was just waiting for the flight info. I think the hotel will be releasing the rates soon tho. I'm sure someone mentioned it in another thread

I honestly think it is a man thing...mine is the same. I've been waiting a year for him to call his brother to tell him. I know his brother won't likely attend, but it's still the polite thing to call and let him know.

I think you have a procrastinator on your hands.

HAHA!! Ok, I'm sorry, but for me to understand what you were venting about I had to imagine the whole tirade in a british accent so I could make sense of it. got it. You are cute!!

Yes - definitely, blokes are thick as you can get. They just can't wrap their minds around the idea that stuff like this needs advanced planning. Why can't they just decide they are coming a month before?? GRRR!!!

ME TOO CHRISTA! That's crazy. lol

Anyways, guys do everything last minute. That's why I never rely on my DH to do anything. I end up calling everyone myself. I'm talking about the simpliest stuff too. Just seeing if his parent's can meet us for dinner on X night. Nope, I have to call them myself.

You just reminded me that I need to say "bloody" more when talking about something. It's highly effective and totally cool.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
