Hey girls. I've been really busy with work, my dog being sick, and trying to get wedding stuff done. Finally my departure gift bags are put together. I'm waiting for fsil to give me the "What you need to know before you go" booklets to stick in there and they'll be done! I still have to finish putting together the programs and menus. This weekend fi and i have to decide on some of the last reception details like decor, seating charts, etc. Oh and when i say fi and i, I mean me!!! lol Still gotta do playlists too.

And on that note, Tara how long is your reception going to be. You have a lot of songs and i'm trying to figure out how many songs i need. And props to all the BonJovi and Bruce songs, are you sure your not from NJ?

Lisa have fun at your bachlorette, i cant wait to see the pics.

Celina, i only have one thing to say to you "Pics?"

and i think i forget what else i was gonna say to everyone. lol My mind is so spinning right now with stuff.

Tara, your play list is great! You have a good variety of music!

Danielle - YAY on getting those bags done! Thank goodness you don't have to lug that stuff down.

Lisa- have a BLAST at your party! Have some drinks for your November girls!

Now I have a serious question about the play list.

Tara has Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow as her processonal song. I LOVE-LOVE this song. When I first heard it on ER - I bawled because it is so beautiful. I have always wanted to play it but have kind of held back.

The thing is........

The song holds a lot of meaning in my side of the family. It was first played at my step-brothers baby boy's funeral. He was a twin premie that passed away because he never recieved a liver transplant. He passed at almost 2 years old.

It was played at my step-mom's mother's funeral when we released doves at her graveside.

It was played at my dad's brothers funeral during a slideshow display.

SO - if I played it I don't want it to feel morbid. I want to play it because it's beautiful, and because it means a lot to me to remember those who passed and to remember the beautiful occasion of our wedding day.

Should I play the song? I am thinking of playing it for the bridal party and then switch to a spanish guitar song when I walk down the aisle. What do you guys think??

I say play the song. It is a beautiful song, and what a great way to remember those that can't be with you at the wedding.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to go ahead and play the song. I will probably cry the entire time I walk down the aisle because I am such a crybaby!

Me first.....

First thing tonight I am going to the post office cause I never made it yesterday because I left Tara's address at work.

Tomorrow morning I am going to have the oil changed in my truck. Then I am going to go get a facial and my eyebrows done. My daughter is getting her first upper lip and eyebrow wax as well. (She doesn't know she is going to feel her first momentous RRRRIIIIIPPPPPPPPPP) Ouch!

I have to go to my dad's and pick up my daughters dress. (So I can take some pictures for you guys) I have to go to one of my BM's house and drop off some serving dishes, pedestals, etc. for my bachelorette party next weekend. I also have to buy my wig!!

I am having second thoughts about going to see the male strippers. The only club we could find that did male shows is a male and female club. They have two men stages in the corner and the women are in the middle of the room. That seems kind of gross so now I am reconsidering. I just wanted all girls having fun and not share it with a bunch of oogling guys looking at girl strippers. I have to discuss with my MOH and BM's. What do you guys think?

OH - before any of this tomorrow morning, I am going to JC penny because that body shaper thing I bought is on sale for 40% off. The one I bought has the leg on it and I dont' like it. I need one with just the panty part.

I have to get FI some tanning coupons so his white a** can see the light of a tanning bed so he doesn't burn like he did last time in Mexico. My big a** in a white dress and him with a red nose - we'll look like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and a snowman on the beach!! LOLsmile120.gif

I need to start packing. I need to do laundry and I want to do something fun with the kids. Maybe we'll light the fire pit and roast marshmallows. Hmmm...on second thought...maybe not. My son's asthma has been acting up lately.

We have to look into buying ANOTHER portable DVD player. I swear, we buy a new one every year. FI wants to go check out some pawn shops and see if we can pick one up cheap there. The one we have isn't reading the DVD's anymore. frown.gif

I also have to get a hair cut! The ends of my hair are fried! I need to schedule my hair appointment at the hotel salon, and I have to schedule my makeup appointment at MAC.

I think that's it for me! (that's enough) No Bronco game on Sunday!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
