so my personal computer... with all of my wedding stuff, music and pictures from the past 4 years... got the blue screen of death last night. i'm so pissed! my ipod isn't updated, my packing lists are on there, basically everything wedding related that i was waiting to print - all on the dead computer
That is awful bad luck! Poor girl!! I hope the Geek Squad or another geeky computer savvy place and help recover whatever is left on your harddrive. They can work wonders, so all is not lost yet!

So far I have 4 pairs of earrings and one necklace, and I can't decide on any of it!
I feel the exact same way. I am totally lost with what to do with my jewelry.. argh!

I had always used macs in college and loved them and haven't had any issues with it.
I do have to agree: they are much more stable than PCs. I love my Mac!
However, I do have a PC that works perfectly fine from my first year in university! It has a whopping 9GB of hard disk space. It's a rock. punk.gif

Thank you everyone! We are doing alright right now. Her funeral is on Sat so we are heading down on Thurs afternoon to help get everything ready. My aunt from BC is flying in on Thurs as well and then we are having a family supper on Fri.So obviously I didn't get anything done wedding related, and it won't happen this weeken either. Next weekend is going to be a right off as well as it is my bach party. We are going paintballing, then supper, then who knows. Either to the bar or just back to my MOH's house. I am excited for that, even more now with everything that has happened. I got a phone call today to say that our sand ceremony is in. My Mom got it for me as a shower gift. I will pick it up when we go in for my bach party.
Erica, sorry about your loss. I'm glad to hear you and your family are doing alright now though. It sounds like your bachelorette party will be alot of fun! But paintballing: wow, I do admire how tough you are! Those things hurt! What sand ceremony stuff did you get? I still have to pick mine out.

Well...the $$ faries were looking over me and the payroll lady was able to get me entered. It was totally their fault - so she was obligated to do whatever she had to do. They are the ones that screwed up! I will now have some extra money that I've been working my butt off for come Friday! YAY!!
HURRAYYYYY! I am so glad they got it sorted out. It IS their fault after all. And a whole month is a long time to wait on overtime pay.

So I got an email back about my cake topper. Apparently, when I went to pay the deposit someone else must have picked the same deposit thing and their payment went through before mine so my payment got kicked out because that ticket item expired. The lady said she still had time to make it and could get it to me in plenty of time so I submitted a new deposit and got confirmation yesterday from both paypal and Etsy that it went through, and sent her all the info she needed to make the topper. I'm back to having a cake topper! Ha ha!

I also talked to my TA today and our documents will be sent out in the next 10 days. She also sent me a slideshow from a wedding she arranged at my resort in August, and low and behold that bride was able to rent pink chair bows down there. I was told I would have to bring them with if I wanted a color to her than white, the WC never told me I could rent them. I don't know how much they cost, but in her pics it looks so nice with the pink bows on the white chairs. I probably would've been just as happy with the white ones, but I do like the pink better.
Whew, good thing about your cake topper! I'm glad the seller is able to get it ready for you in time.
Too bad your TA didn't know aobut the chair bows! Hopefully you can get a contact for the rentals.

I had my final dress fitting over the weekend and it looks awesome! I love it more than ever. I think all my weight training and shoulder presses are finally paying off! woot.gif
And upon final inspection, I think I've decided to have my hair half-up and half-down, with my veil low (under the half-up section) and a flower in my hair on one side. Now.. for the shoes and the jewelry... what shoes is everyone wearing? I'd like something with a kitten heel, and hopefully a sandal.. I should've been shopping when they all went on sale after the summer ended... argh!!!

Michelle so glad you are getting your cake topper. The ones the girl on etsy makes are sooooo cute. I just love them. I cant wait to see yours. And yayy on the pink chair ribbons. I'm sure white would of looked great too but the pink would be a really nice pop of color.

chika I'm glad your dress fitting went great. Good job with the weight training. I'm sure you'll be absolutely beautiful in your dress. My ceremony is on the beach so i'm just wearing barefoot sandals for that and for my reception Im wearing beaded flip flops. they are maybe an inch or so thick. I think kitten heels would be perfect though.

Tara, OMG that blows! I hope you can get your info back! That just sucks!!

Michelle, so glad you still got the cake topper you wanted.

I had ordered placecard holders from a company weeks ago. I never received them. I called them 4 times, had to leave a voicemail and sent 3 emails, nothing. So I re-ordered them from another place. Thankfully even though it had said paypal had gone through they never charged my account so thats good but what bad customer service.

Celina, so glad you got your moola figured out. What a PITA!!!

Yes she is married. I think I am the only single girl out of all of my friends! Keep in mind ladies I am 36 - (I swear....every time I say 36, I think~ almost 40~ then I think ...dang I'm old - but I don't feel old!) I think I am one of the oldest on this forum! HA! LOL!!

Michelle - they should have told you about renting the chair sashes. Hopefully they can get them for you and they aren't too expensive! That is awesome about your cake topper! I can't wait to see it!

Chicka - I found my sandals at Newport-news.com I am going barefoot on the beach and then I have some jeweled sandals - they are flat, but I wore them one day to wear in the soles because they were slippery - and they are only comfortable for dinner and pictures- no dancing. I have some decorated flip flops for dancing.

Do you have a pic of your hair inspiration? It sounds cute. I am wearing the flower and veil too!

Steph - I'm glad you got your placecards!

SOOOOOOOOOO.........yesterday I picked up my dress and it fits and looks good and I am HAPPY! YAY!!

Tara - I have a box for you with the dress bag and I'll send it to you tonight after work. I almost sent you my 2 year old because he was messing with me when I was taping it up and when I threatened to send him to Arizona, he very happily said he wanted to go!

I didn't work yesterday because I had to go to court as a witness to an attempted murder case. They continued the case till October 29th so I had some free time and went to Hobby Lobby. All of their wedding stuff is 50% off! I couldn't help myself and I bought a birdcage for cards for our AHR for $7! They have hair pins, clips, all kinds of stuff! I bought these cards for table numbers. They are this style Filigree<br>Favor Box<br>Ivory - Stationery, invitations, announcements and event accessories by Paper Orchid Stationery

I couldn't find the actual items, but they are this style. I am going to use them as table numbers.

I also got some rhinestone clusters on a thin silver wire to put into my bouquet.

Oh - I also went and got my daughters sash and flower for her dress. Thats it for me!

Hi ladies! I have been working on table placecards and the OOT bag gift tags (which are the same thing). I'm almost done, will post up a pic maybe friday.. heh.

I have my bachelorette on saturday night so I'll also post up pics of that once I get them.. should be fun! What we are doing is a surprise.. yikes I hope I'm not embarrassed tooo much. Jayson's surprise stag is tomorrow night... he just can't get arrested. That's all I'm worried about.. sigh.

Holy crap.. we leave in 2 weeks on sunday! I can't believe it's so close.. I feel like I still have a million things to do, but don't know where to start.. haha!

Ohh Did you take pictures of your dress? You know we want to see!

A 2 year old would be great! I've always said I wanted kids when they were 2 or 3, and wanted to skip the baby stage!

You've got a lot done lately! Must feel good

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
