We booked a Jr Suite HOPING (but not expecting) an upgrade to full suite. I REALLY thought I'd be going with the beach, but the gazebo was so much better than I expected! It was perfect, for us! :)

I had planned to do centerpieces but the universe was against me so I scrapped it completely. I'm glad I did. It would've been just another thing to carry with me - I think it was FINE with no centerpieces.

It was at 4pm. Weather - apart from VERY windy - was perfect. We didn't need fans.

We did the Dunns River Party Boat on Sunday. It leaves at 10am, you need to be there by 9:45. We were back at the resort by 2.

Heidi, I've been waiting for this review since I first "met" you almost a year ago! I am so so so happy for you and Reggie! Thank you for being so detailed. I'm obviously disappointed about the lack of vegetarian options (I'll be sure to pack my protein bars!). You really covered everything, but I'm sure I'll think of questions to hound you with before I leave. Congrats again!!!!

Lizz, I kept thinking about you when I was disappointed with the veggie optoins! I was SO tired of eating vegetables when I left there!!! I filled out surveys and commented about the severe lack of vegetarian-friendly food...so maybe it'll be slightly improved for you?! Either way, at least you can prep for it! And maybe I made it sound so bad that you'll be pleasantly surprised?!

I learn something everyday on this site. I cant remember what I did today so now I know at the end of the night write. lol.

I must agree, great review Heidi! Very descriptive. I was anxious to read your review and I'm not even a ROR bride to be, lol. I am sure you have helped the future ROR brides out even more. Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time. Cant wait to see more of your pics! Congrats again :~)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
