Mommies to be check in

Hey girls,

Well I had my appointment yesterday. They actually had me come in early cuz I wasnt feeling good. They did the stress test AGAIN. They do it every week. She is at the point she doesnt like to be tested anymore. She moves away from the monitor. Oh my little princess. Well doc didnt like that her heart rate wasnt getting up so he zapped her. Let me tell you that really pissed her off.

Then they took blood to make sure my white count was ok and my sugars are ok. Thought maybe that was why i didnt feel good. But it all came back okay.

Then he checked me to see if I was dilating. He said I was only at a one. But to me at least it something. When I got home I was bledding a little and later that night I lost my plug. I never did that with my daughter so that was new for me. So I guess we will see what happens from here.

As far as the strollers...I have the one that comes with the car seat and an umbrella stroller. Hubby wants the jeep stroller to take her out in the woods, but Im not a big fan of that right now.

I dont get the leg craps I get the reastless legs. It makes me crazy. It feels like the creepy crawlies...

Hope everyone is doing good.

Kelly- Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, that's no fun..

Mrs Martin- I used to get leg cramps soooo bad! Not fun at all, I'd do the same thing to FI. Do you drink much soda? My doctor told me that soda can cause them, I don't drink a lot of it at all but he also suggested drinking more milk. So I started drinking a lot more milk and rarely get them now. Also, sleeping on your back can cause them too but I doubt at this point you can lay on your back...I definitely haven't been able to for quite awhile now!

Are any of you at all concerned with all the guests that will be stopping by with this now pandemic they've declared? They've got some pretty bad outbreaks of it fairly close to where I live so I'm a little bit concerned...Would it be horribly rude of me, when the time does come, to post a note on my door asking anyone with any possible symptoms to come back? I probably sound like a crazy lady, but our public health nurse was pretty stern in prenatal class to even ask people with the common cold not to come..How do you not sound like a bag/crazy lady when it comes to something like that?

Summer, I dont think it sounds crazy at all. I dont let alot of people around my new babies. And i dont plan on starting now. I went and stocked up on germ x also. I dont let anyone touch them without using it first. And I am a serious freak when it come to strangers in public. Why do people feel the need to touch someone elses baby. Strange.

Yeah, I was wondering about the plug too. I think it's the plug that closes off the uterus? Someone told me you have the baby within days of losing the plug. Is that true? Either way, progress is exciting and hopefully you feel better soon Kelly!

Andrea, you are right the plug closes it off and helps protect from germs getting in there. Lots of women do go into labor soon after losing that however, I lost mine about three weeks ago and have since had my membranes scraped by the doctor in hopes that might help bring on labor...But she's a stubborn one sad.gif

Kelly- Thanks for the input, that makes me feel a lot better! I live in a small town and I know we're going to have probably every person we've ever waved at either stopping by or else smothering us when we're out in public, so I'm really quite nervous.

the mucus plug starts forming right after your body realizes it is prego. It falls out before you go into labor. Some girls I have heard don't realize they lose theirs because it happens while they are going to the bathroom. The Dr's told my friend to always check before you flush lol

Calia- Thanks for the info. I actually did see a light-weight stroller from MacLaren @ BRU, but it was over $200 and I thought it was too much. However, I checked online yesterday and they seem to have another MacLaren light weight for less $$. I'm going to check to see if they have it at the store so I can try it out in person. I registered for one from Chicco and it seemed to be just fine for my height.

Kelly- This may sound like a stupid question considering I'm a few weeks away from having a baby and I should know this by now, but what does the plug look like? Is it obvious when it falls out? I also heard some women lose it gradually, not all at once. Is that true? I know what it is, I'm just not sure I would be able to identify it considering you tend to discharge a lot when pregnant.

I can tell by the hiccups, and I have a heart listener and the only place that I can hear her heartbeat is at the top of my stomach.

I've tried many position and she isn't budging. I'm kinda just giving up on turning her because she's getting bigger as the weeks go by and my doc told me there is really only a 10% chance she will turn. So I may just settle with the c-section on the 29th. censored.gif

You may still have some time to turn your LO.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
