Angel you look amazing! Looks like you must have had a wonderful shower! Hope baby smartens up and moves back to head down for ya!

Mrs Martin have fun at your shower!!

Kelly have ya been able to keep control of your numbers? Hope that's going better for you!

I've been feeling alright...I started timing contractions last night I thought I might be in labour, but my body was just playing with my head sad.gif Other than that I've been good, just bored FI won't let me do anything but works too much to really keep a handle on any of the house work, and I'm a neat freak so I'm really kind of going crazy with that. His parents are coming down soon though, his mom wants to come and help out which will be really nice!!

Hello ladies!

I can't believe Gavin is 2 weeks old already! I'm sorry I haven't been on but it's been a little hectic as you can imagine! :) I've been very fortunate to have DH home from work all but a few days during the last 2 weeks and he's spoiled me rotten! He's been doing all the house work, most of the cooking and most of the diaper changes! He goes back to work on Monday and I'm both dreading it and looking forward to some time for myself! :)

It's been a crazy 2 weeks with a rocky start to breast feeding, DHs 30th B-Day and Gavin's circumcision falling on the same day and the overall adjustment of sleeping in spurts of 2-3 hours but I've loved every second of it and could not have done it without my hubby's support! Have I mentioned he's been awesome?!!! :) I want to shout it from the roof tops!

I promise to be back this week with my labor story and all the little tid-bits of having a new born, pictures and tips for any of you who plan to breastfeed. Just wanted to chime in on the workout question. I did cardio and walked A LOT all through my pregnancy and I believe I owe fitting into my jeans this weekend to staying active!!! In addition to breastfeeding and starting to walk again. I still have a little belly to loose but am basically back to my pre-pregnancy weight! smile123.gif

Chanti- I loved to work out prior to me being pregnant. I seriously went to the gym all the time and I loooooved to run. Now, when I got pregnant it was a whole other story. My morning sickness during the 1st trimester was mostly in the afternoon and evening time, so once I left work I would go home and sleep because I didn't feel well and most people have zero energy around that trimester. I was also bleeding at first so my doc didn't give me the ok to work out until about my 12th week. After that, it was really hard to get in to a routine. All though I didn't go to a gym, just walking the dog seemed to take my breath away. I wish I could be more active because I really miss working out, it's just not recommended to do if you didn't work out from the very beginning. My heart rate tends to rise and I get shortness of breath right away if I walk even at a regular pace. So, I only walk maybe 2 or 3 times a week, but it's something!

Thank you for sharing with me your experience. I guess it'll really depend on what kind of pregnancy I have, in the end. So all I can do now is stay as active as I am and see what happens!

Thank you to everyone else who also responded to my question, I appreciate it!

I'm starting my last pack of birth control this week, more exciting than I anticipated! Oh, and leaving in 20 days for our weddingmoon, VERY excited about that :-)

    • Congratulations Amanda and welcome to the forum! Absolutely use a travel agent. You will get the best rates & personalized for you and your guests. We can definitely give you resort suggestions & answer any questions you have, but your best bet for pricing will be to contact a Canadian TA. Canadian rates are different than the US market and are typically packaged with the air plus using a Canadian TA you and your guests can pay in CAD.   Karisma resorts are known for their "gourmet inclusive" food options.  Sensatori Punta Cana is a beautiful resort that opened a few years ago. They offers a sky terrace for weddings & reception. They are next to Nickelodeon Punta Cana and share many of the same restaurants. There is an awesome waterpark for kids that is available for a nominal fee.   In Punta Cana Now Onyx is a popular option & we have stayed there twice. The food is good and adults have the added bonus of being able to go to Breathless Punta Cana which is an adults only resort next door.  Now Onyx is in the process of adding a sky terrace for weddings with reception area attached.  Royalton Resorts are another great option. Royalton Bavaro in Punta Cana has a terrace overlooking the ocean and Royalton Riviera Cancun has an open air chapel overlooking the ocean. They are great family friendly resorts.  Resort info is attached for all of these options & we have stayed at or toured all of them as well. Please take a look and let me know what questions we can answer. Thanks! • The most recent post I found for Azul Fives brides is here -- although it hasn't been updated much:    You can also find a Cancun-Riviera Maya FB group hosted by this forum here, that will have various info you might find helpful! https://www.facebook.com/groups/CancunRMBrides/ Since you are considering Azul Fives for your wedding, I also encourage you to check out this promotion because it could save you a good amount of money on your wedding -- the only requirement is that you use Wright Travel, which is the official travel agency of the BDW forum! But their services are free, so it's a total bonus and will be a huge help as you plan your wedding celebration Hope that helps!!!
    • Can’t seem to find the forum for Azul Fives with the last year? If someone could post the link that would be great!  I am just starting to loosely plan my wedding and this resort is on my top list. Thanks!
    • Hi there I’ve been engaged for a few months now and we beginning to talk about our wedding. We are 33 and 34 years old, We think we want it to be in Mexico or DR. We expect about 50 guests including children. We don’t want to get married or have our reception on the beach. My Fiancé is a chef so we also would like good food! We would also like to keep the cost under $1800 per guest flying from Nova Scotia, Canada.  Any suggestions as to how or where to start the planning process? Should we use a travel agent?  Any experienced brides that can suggest a resort ? Thank you! amanda
