Do I need a wedding band?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about the same thing, and someone suggested to me that I get a band and wear it on my right hand - then you wouldn't need to worry about having too much on one finger....I'm not sure if I'll do this, but just an idea! I don't think there are any set rules, so you can do whatever is best for you.

Is your ring Moissanite? That's what mine is. I love it!! It's so sparkley. People always say "wow your diamond has so much fire" and I tell them what it is. A lady even came from across a store once to ask where I got my ring. I also like that it's lab created in the town I live in.

Yep, it's moissanite! I heard about Moissanite a few years ago and no one knew what I was talking about. but now they even sell it in department stores. All my friends thought i was crazy to not want a diamond, but I just couldn't see spending that kind of money when we were trying to save for a house, pay off credit cards and student loans, etc. offtopic2.gif

Mine even came from the same company as yours. I started looking at them in the Fall of 06 & there were not a lot of places that sold it. Now, I see moissanite signs all over the mall. I hope their sells continue to increase. It's a really great product. I love that they are so inexpensive, but still something that will last. I stopped buying diamonds a couple years ago so it was either going to be a moissanite or a sapphire.

Where did you get your sterling silver band? I'd like a little band to wear when I don't want to wear my e-ring. I have my mom's wedding band & it fits me, but it's really thick. Then I have the band that came with my ring, but it needs to be resized. Mike ordered my ring too big. It is a curved band through & I'd rather just have a straight one to wear alone.

Your ring is beautiful all on its own. I do not think a band is necessary. I have a 3-stone princess cut ring and have the same problem as you as far as the middle sticking out. My FI really wanted me to get a band so I did and now I will be wearing me e-ring on my right hand. At times though, I am sure I will wear my e-ring on my left hand and ditch the band.

I found my ring at Silver Depot, it's 3mm.

You're ring is gorgeous! It does look a lot like mine!! I wasn't sold on my band at first; I really like the one you have on yours. The jeweler that my FI had my ring made by suggested to him that this size band can be altered with side diamonds inserted on to it later if I wanted. Actually, now that I think about it, I would probably spend the $$ on that than buying a wedding band!

I actually got FI 2 rings from there - one black titanium and 1 silver titanium! I only paid $20 for 3 rings and shipping! I love a deal : )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
