Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Welcome Dana and congrats! Yamille took all my advice - spend a couple hours with a glass (or two) of wine and read through these pages. The sky is really the limit in terms of what you want - if you have a vision and you know what you would like it's probably most effective to start with the WISH and add on.

The lists are just a starting point really - and to be honest if you want something totally private etc. you will pay the premium costs for it - it's just the way it works at all the resorts!

Happy Planning~

Thanks girls ... May I ask which route either of you went, and what you thought about it?

I would like something simple, but my biggest priority is having a private sit down dinner.

By the way Missy, I looked at the pictures you posted on shutterfly and they were beautiful, congratulations!!

Dana - I hate to sound like a broken record but you should really read through the other posts and the reviews that I (and others) have posted on the Paradisus as these are all issues that we have discussed and provided details on at length - happy to answer specific questions that haven't been covered off but I would start there..

Contemplating having the bridal party makeup done at the spa or having a makeup artist come in from Cancun from the Ultrafemme Store (comparable to Sephora for US girls). Any suggestions on makeup applications at the spa? Also, we have 8 up do's that we need done the day of the wedding, I'm assuming they'll have another hair stylist come in?

I am wondering the same thing about the makeup and hair. It seems like there are mixed reviews about the resort's services which has me a little worried. Then again, I guess that is the point of having a trial. Does anyone know the price range for hair and makeup and if that includes the trial session? For those who had makeup done at the salon, did you bring your own products? Thank you!

Thanks for the great review and pictures, Missy. The picture of the reception site taken from the beach was very helpful in getting an overall idea of the place. Did you request the white draping or did it come with the reception?

Kelly, less than a month away! Can't wait to hear about it and see those pics esp w/ Sol as your photog!

Hey ladies, from what I can gather from previous reviews its seems like only one person is there to do hair and makeup (Leticia? I think). Luckily we only have 3 who need to get it done so it shouldn't be a problem. We've also decided to do our own makeup. I'm doing a makeup lesson here and buying products before I go so that I can handle it myself... hopefully.

FutureMrsC~ I agree with Missy. Get a glass of wine and read read read! lol It may take some time, but there are a lot of pages here with great info! Perla is great about getting back with answers to all of your questions in a relatively quick time frame. I know the longest I've had to wait is a week and that was because she was trying to find out something for me and it took some time. We are also doing the wish package and then customizing so we have what we want. There is a post a few pages back that has links to lots of Paradisus reviews from the board. Happy planning!

Thanks Fanny~ I can't wait! Although I'm having a huge problem making a payment to Sol on Paypal right now and I might throw my computer out the window! Paypal is driving me crazy! lol

Great pictures! We have similar colors. I'm glad you went with the brown for the ceremony site. I've been thinking that's what I wanted after seeing pics of one other wedding with it, but I was worried that it should have some more color. After seeing yours, I think just the brown looks fabulous!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
