Anyone at Dreams PV?

Recommended Posts

Hello! I too, am trying to contact the WC at Dreams Resort in PVR... and have no luck. Does anyone know how to begin planning a wedding here or who to contact?

Thanks! I appreciate your response!

Ditto what Amy just said - most of the stuff I have from her (the Dreams WC, Marilu) is attached to this thread. I am having my welcome dinner at Dreams, but getting married offsite - but am still working with Marilu. She can be slow to respond at times, but hang in there! Let us know how we can help, and we'll do what we can.

Ann, make sure you take lots of pics of the grounds for me, please!!!!

I'm trying to avoid going on a site visit before the wedding (trying to save money any place I can). We are planning a beach reception and I have no clue how private it will be.

Oh almost forgot, I asked marilu to send me the nightly activities that the hotel hosts. Its very helpfull just in case any one wants to plan their events around these:

Monday: Football night (i think this is only b/c of football season)

Tuesday: Caribbean party by the beach.

Wednesday: Salsa night.

Thursday: Rock concert by the beach.

Friday: Mexican Fiesta by the main pool area.

Saturday: Karaoke at the sports bar

Sunday: Nunsense play at the meeting rooms.

Very helpful! I will be on a mission when I am there, and I will take all sorts of pics! I don't think I will be able to go on a site visit either.

Ummm, should I be nervous that there's a ROCK CONCERT the night of my welcome dinner? Yikes. I guess I don't have to get my own music!

I am pretty new to this site and there may be a thread somewhere about this...but I was wondering how everyone was handling the legalities of getting married there? I've heard some people choose to legally marry at the JP before they go down there and then have the ceremony in Mexico and just not send in the certificate. What are everyone's thoughts on that? Do you know how long you have to be there to plan your wedding? I've read about having to be there on a Wed, having to do blood work, etc., but I am thinking I may not do all of that and just have the ceremony. I am wondering how many days the resort needs to put it all together. Any info you can provide would be wonderful!

Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
