lp579.. good luck and HAVE FUN!!! can't wait to hear and see how everything went.. i'm sure it will be beautiful!!

a few more questions for you wonderful married girls..

did you use silk flower petals? i wasn't sure about the resort's policy (if they clean them up for you or if you have to have biodegradable or real ones, etc).

did any of you have a ceremony rehearsal? for some reason i'm terrfied that no one in our wedding is going to have any idea what's going on!!

also, does anyone have experience having to buy a day pass or a guest or vendor? i'm using pastor york and i was curious whether we had to buy his guest pass in advance and get it to him or how that whole process worked!!

thanks ladies!! so much easier and less stressful than waiting to be assigned a WC and having to wait for emails back and forth for little questions like this!!

Thanks ladies! I'll have to learn how to post pics when I get back... =)

ebredhawk, I'd e-mail Deyanira for guest day passes for my photographer and she said it was $79 usd and that they had to bring ID and preferably have the pass set up for them when they arrived to the resort.

I'm starting to get excited that this wedding is actually going to happen...no swine flu or hurricanes in the forcast! YAY!

Lp579, it is the wedding coordinator that performs your ceremony if you have a symbolic ceremony. Who is your wedding coordinator?
We had a legal ceremony, and the judge was there and performed in Spanish, then Deyanira just repeated everything she said in English for us.

I just got married at dreams last week and all I can say is WOW!!! The wedding was magical fro beggining to end and only cost us $1500 for everything. We bought the videographer, photographer and reception it was amazing!!!

The only thing i would have to say is that the beach option is a complete waste of time! I saw a couple brides get married there and it honestly looked like some pieces of plywood stuck together with some flowers...but the gazebo was absolutely stunning and once you see it in person you will melt!!!

We went with the house photographer and they were honestly the BEST photos that i have ever seen! We went with the bronze package and added a few photos...believe me girls an outside photographer is NOT needed.

Then for the reception we ha it on the bordeaux terrace and picked off thier menu....you have to decide the menu when you meet with the coordinator. The food was delectable....don't bother ordering the packages for the food, the restaurant menu that they provide is sooooo good!

The only complaint that i have is that you only get a 3 hour reception and dinner took up half of that but we just all went to the bar after which is actually really good and they play amazing music.

Girls honestly dreams will make your wedding wishes come true!

soccergurl.. so glad you had a good experience!!! sounds like everything worked out in the end!

question about your reception... did you still get the private reception and everything not using the reception dinner menus? did you just pick some of bordeaux's food? is this the same price as the dinner package?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
