      Not at all! I know my dad would use a fan if he was hot and I believe that someone else posted the men and women used the fans. I think alternating gives everyone an option. I am only supplying fans to my guests though, not parasols. They are only for my BM's and FG's. I can't afford to buy more.

        I don't think that would be too much at all! Especially if you alternate.

        Heck- I had parasols every other chair, program fans (paper, not raffia) on every chair, toss petals on every chair, and kleenex holders on every chair- Mariana had a whole box of crap for my 12 chairs! lol

            I decided to get palm fans for each guest (they are only 1$ each) and get umbrellas for the women only since I figured the men wouldn't want them, although I was just looking at somebody else's pictures where the men were using them! I actually bought them mostly for the pictures without really thinking they would be that usefull for the sun, but now I've read a few people said they are very usefull for the sun

              I was going to put them into a basket with a big colorful sign or tags on each one and place the basket right next to the programs. If you have ushers, maybe you can have them offer one to each woman? Here are some ideas I liked:
